I was lucky enough to be invited to attend Fearne's 11th birthday party, where we spent a fun 90 minutes making lots of beaded items.
Fearne had chosen to make headbands, dream catchers and bracelets. The girls put a lot of thought into the colour and style of beads that they wanted for their individual items. They were definitely more particular about the look of their finished creation, than many of the younger children, and it was lovely to see the different choices that they made.

I had a wonderful time at Paisley's 6th birthday party. 🎈
Despite their age, the children really enjoyed threading the fiddly beads on to wire, to make some beautiful headbands and charm bracelets. They even managed to make a few bag charms, hair clips or fidget toys before the end of the party.
I can't think of a nicer way to spend an autumn afternoon! 😍🥳🍂

Last week I was invited back to Trinity St Andrew's Church to make some lovely beaded butterflies with the Rainbows and then afterwards, some beaded windchimes with the Guides.
It was a busy evening, but all of the children managed to make at least one beautiful decoration to take home. Most even had time to make some little beaded people as well!

Last weekend I went to Burnsall for Evelyn's 7th birthday.
We had lots of fun making beautiful headbands, dream catchers and fidget toys.
Evelyn was a very gracious hostess and welcomed all her guests with a smile. Not to be outdone, her little brother entertained us all on the piano whilst I set up.
The time just flew by and I think that everyone will agree, it was a very lovely party. 🤩🥳🎁🎂

On Saturday I was invited to Sofia and Tilda's joint 8th birthday party.
The girls had chosen to make pony bead parrots as their main item and what a colourful range of parrots they created. We even had gold and silver parrots; I think that they may even be a new species! 😁
The children were all very patient as they followed the parrot pattern and, after a short demonstration, most of the children were confident enough to have a go on their own. Even the birthday girl's youngest guest, who was only 5, managed to make her own pet parrot. 🦜
After the parrots, (and a very quick change of beads) we made charm bracelets, fidget toys and bag charms. Not a moment was wasted.
Thank you girls, I had a lovely time and I hope that everybodys parrots behave themselves.

On Tuesday I ran a workshop, making a couple of my newest projects, with Settle Primary Summer Holiday Club children.
We made Pinecone Dangles with the older children and Pony Bead Butterflies with the younger ones.
All of the children had a great time. They did a really good job at concentrating and having a go at the fiddly bits too. Everyone (including the adults) took home a beaded decoration to be proud of.
Unfortunately, the light in the hall was quite low and the photo is very grainy so I have added an example picture of each of the projects too. 🤩🦋🌲

Today, Easter Holiday Club tried out one of my new Wand Workshops.
The older children made colourful magic wands, complete with charms and tassles. Luckily, none of the children used their wand to turn any of the adults into a frog! 💥🐸
The younger ones made a bubble wand, which they then tested out for its bubble blowing efficiency. I think that they all passed 😅
All in all, lots of fun was had in the sunshine 😍☀️

Some of the children from Settle CE Primary School were able to try out my new beading project this week - Beaded Wind Chimes.

The children from different classes in Key Stage 2, made chimes in lots of different colour combinations. But, all of the children made a beautiful Wind Chime that they can proudly hang in the garden or in a window. 😍

On Sunday, I visited Edith for her 6th birthday party. 🎂🎈
The children that Edith had invited were quite a range of ages but everyone managed to make something that I am sure they were proud of! Even her youngest guest did amazingly well with a little bit of help.
As well as lots of beading. Edith and her friends treated us to some of the Christmas songs that they are going to sing at their Nativity. Thank you Edith, for the musical party 🥳🎼❤️

Yesterday I was invited to make some beaded Christmas snowflakes and angels with the lovely ladies of Settle's Mothers' Union group.
Despite some having the wrong glasses and ageing fingers for threading the fiddly beads, everyone persevered and made some gorgeous beaded snowflakes and angels. ❄️😍
Sitting in on their meeting also gave me an insight into some of the important work that they do and causes that they support. Thank you ladies for being so generous and caring. 🥰

On Sunday I visited Emily to celebrate her 7th birthday by making beautiful beaded suncatchers and bookmarks. We also made lots of the, ever popular, fidget toys.
It was lovely to see some familiar faces from one of the Rainbow groups that I have worked with and Emily's older brother was a great help too.
