Nicola and Matt had the most beautifully intimate wedding at the stunning Lindeth Howe. I always love coming back here, it feels like home and the team always give such a warm welcome.

Wedding Coordinator John was on great form, he had a real soft spot for this lovely couple, and it is easy to see why. Nicola and Matt are two of the very kindest people you could meet and they are so perfectly suited to one another. I spent a few hours with them and their family, capturing moments filled with love, laughter and connection that I know they will treasure forever.

One of the sweetest moments I’ve had the privilege to photograph.

Paul got in touch late in the summer to ask if I could photograph his proposal to Izzy at the Temple of Heroes at Storrs Hall. He mentioned that she was pregnant so they’d be easy to spot, but what he didn’t tell me was that she was more than eight months along. I only found out on the day, so we took things slowly and made sure there were no surprise early arrivals.

Izzy was glowing, and of course she said yes. This was one of my favourite proposals to capture, such a lovely couple and so much fun to work with.

Huge thanks to all the team at Storrs Hall for helping everything run so smoothly. If you’re planning a proposal, they’re definitely worth getting in touch with.

Swipe to see a selection of moments from these beautiful proposal.

For anyone wondering…Paul and Izzy had the most beautiful boy a few weeks later! :)

Emma and Joe had a small and delightful ceremony at Lancaster Registry Office with close family, then carried on at Linthwaite House Hotel - quickly becoming one of my favourite venues to photograph at.

Joe is a Royal Marine and spends a lot of time away, so the moment he saw Emma walk in at the registry office was full of emotion and beautiful to capture, as well as a real privilege.

The rest of the day at Linthwaite was brilliant. A miniature poodle that looked like a teddy bear wandered past, ducks strolled across the grounds, and we even spotted a heron. We jumped in a golf buggy and headed up to the lake where Emma and Joe stole a quiet moment together in a rowing boat.

What a perfect day! Laughter, love and some beautiful shots - definitely one to remember.

Earlier in the week, I met Hunt and Taylor for their engagement shoot around Buttermere and the surrounding fells. They were visiting from Washington DC, and staying at Woodhouse. Just a couple of days before, Hunt had proposed at St James’ Church in Buttermere and of course Taylor said yes. They had opened the church especially for him to propose so naturally we stopped by for a few photos to mark the moment.

We were originally set for a Saturday shoot but the weather had other plans. Sunday was not much better but the forecast looked just about workable if we started at 8am. That is an early one for me but they had tickets for Coldplay at Wembley later that day so we went for it.

It turned into such a fun couple of hours with plenty of laughs despite the damp start. I am already looking forward to catching up with them again next year when they return to the Lakes.

What an amazing couple! Congratulations! Here’s just some of the photos we made.

Back in June Nick got in touch with me with a plan. He wanted to propose to Mae. 🌲💍

These two absolutely love the woodlands and the Lakes so it was really important to Nick that the proposal happened somewhere surrounded by nature with woodland close by for photos afterwards.

On the day I followed the trail up to Seat Howe Summit, about a two mile walk from Whinlatter Forest car park. It was warm, humid and I was rushing, hoping I was heading the right way (no phone signal to double check didn’t help). Just as I started to doubt myself the path opened out onto a clearing and I knew I’d found the spot.

I set up with my 70-200 lens, tucked myself out of sight and waited in the sun. Not long after, Nick arrived with Mae. She didn’t see me at all. They sat for a moment, his nerves building, and then he went for it. The moment was so beautiful, raw and emotional. I felt incredibly privileged not just to witness it but to capture it too.

Afterwards we wandered through the woods for a little shoot, chasing light and shadows and making the most of the forest. 🌿

Nick and Mae, thank you for letting me be part of such a special day. Scroll for a selection of frames from this epic shoot and the moment it all began for this lovely couple.

Claudia and Mark’s wedding was one of those days that had everything, love, laughs and a few unexpected moments. I met them right as the ceremony started and caught their vows while little Harry stole the spotlight as ring bearer. After a few family shots on the lawns at Lindeth Howe, always such a warm and homely place to shoot, their two dogs arrived thanks to the team at Dapper Dogs, a moment that meant the world to them.

Next stop was a boat ride on Lady of the Lake. Drinks flowing, music going, and me cracking jokes about leaky boats… thankfully ours stayed afloat. From there we ventured to Bowness for jetty photos, which turned into a bit of an adventure. Goose poo, crowds everywhere and light that was doing us no favours, but Claudia and Mark did not care one bit, and that is exactly what made those shots so good.

We ended the day with a taxi ride back, guests ready to welcome them, a quick cake shot, and then I left them to enjoy the party. A day perfectly imperfect, which in my book makes it just right.

When your couple’s vows make you tear up and their speeches make you cry with laughter – you know it’s going to be a good one. Laura and Tommy’s wedding at Kendal Rugby Club was an absolute joy from start to finish.

I first met them a couple of years back when I photographed Tommy’s brother’s wedding. I took a photo of the two of them that became their favourite picture, and when it came to their own big day they said I was the only choice.

They had already done the legal bit earlier in the week, so they chose a celebrant to create a personal ceremony filled with laughter, emotion and the most beautiful bespoke vows.
The speeches were hilarious – I genuinely haven’t laughed that much in ages. Later, we slipped away for some portraits, grabbed an ice cream, and then headed back for a party that didn’t stop. Tommy even jumped on the decks for a set that completely raised the roof before LA Events took over and kept the dancefloor packed as I headed home to back everything up.
An incredible day for two incredible people – congratulations Laura and Tommy!

From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a special one. I met Carrie and Oliver just before the ceremony and spent a few hours with them capturing all the moments: the happy tears, the laughter, and everything in between.

It’s always great to see my work shared online, but here’s a little reminder that these moments were captured right here, behind my camera.

Congratulations again, Carrie and Oliver, such a lovely couple and a brilliant day.

These guys were so much fun! 🙂

Mahesh got in touch earlier in the summer, he was planning to propose to Ankita in the Lakes. As the scheduled day got closer, the forecast took a turn for the worse , we had rain, wind, the lot but he was still set on going ahead.

We were fortunate enough for it to remain dry for the proposal, but the rain wasn’t far behind. Ankita was awesome though, telling me of how she loves the rain and nothing would be more fitting. So we carried on. Soaked shoes, damp hair, and a lot of laughter. Then, just as we were wrapping up, the sun made a late appearance and gave us the perfect finish to the day.

Huge congratulations to Sandra and Matt who got married at The Wild Boar just outside Kendal last month. I was with them for half a day and loved every minute of it.

It was a bit different to usual in the best way — with Sandra being Polish, a lot of her family had travelled over, so there was a fair bit of back-and-forth translating, especially during the group shots. It all added to the fun and we had a proper laugh.

After the ceremony, I jumped in the Land Rover with Sandra, Matt and their gorgeous dog Daisy. We drove up through the woods to the tarn where they shared some personal vows with just the trees and the water for company. It was one of those moments that made me step back and appreciate how much this job gives me.

The Wild Boar was the perfect setting for it all — full of charm, tucked away in the woods, and run by people who really know how to look after everyone.
They even invited me to join them for a three course meal, which was incredibly kind — and absolutely spot on. Needless to say, I waddled out of there.

Here’s a little glimpse into the day…

Always a joy to be back at the stunning Lindeth Howe — John, Clare, and the whole team there run the place so smoothly. Even better when the couple feel like friends by the time their big day arrives — that was exactly the case with Kian and Tony.

They booked me ages ago — we actually bumped into each other way back when they were having a look around Lindeth Howe while I was shooting another wedding. We stayed in touch all the way up to their day, so arriving felt less like work and more like catching up with mates.

The sun was absolutely relentless, making photography a proper challenge, but we made it work somehow. The whole day was full of warmth, laughter, and genuinely lovely people with huge hearts. After they said their I dos, we all piled into Mountain Goat Tours for some epic shots out in the Lakes. We hit Blea Tarn first and then swung by Coniston Water for some jetty photos — apparently a non-negotiable for Kian and Tony!

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve laughed that much on a wedding day ever. Plus, they sent me home with some handmade cakes that were dangerously good — definitely kept me going through the editing marathon. And I can’t forget their dachshund, the cutest little sausage dog on four legs. I nearly smuggled her home in my camera bag. Swipe through the carousel to see the day unfold!
