I don’t often share my wedding highlights films here, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one.

Four minutes from Annie and Luke’s wonderful wedding at Cragwood. The photographs captured so much of the day, but there’s something very special about seeing it all moving again. The laughter, the rain, the boat trip, sticks on the lawn and, eventually, that little bit of Lake District sunshine.

More than anything, it captures the warmth of the day and just how brilliant Annie and Luke were together. They embraced absolutely everything, and I loved creating this little film for them alongside their photographs.

Turn the sound on and enjoy ❤️

Some wedding days stay with you, and Annie and Luke’s beautiful day at Cragwood will always be one of them.

They had dreamed of getting married outside, overlooking the lake, but the Lake District weather had other ideas. It turned out to be one of the wettest weddings I’ve ever photographed, but Annie and Luke simply embraced it, along with their brilliant families, who were ready to enjoy every minute of the day regardless.

And enjoy it they did.

They played sticks on the lawn in the pouring rain, we headed out for a boat trip around the lake and, just when we thought the weather had given us everything it had, the clouds finally parted and the sunshine came out later in the day.

Through it all, Annie and Luke were absolutely amazing together. So warm, relaxed and completely wrapped up in one another. They laughed through the rain, took everything in their stride and were an absolute joy to photograph.

Their families were every bit as wonderful, and the whole day was filled with warmth, laughter and people determined to make the most of every moment. It was a genuine pleasure to spend the day with them all, and I loved every single minute of it.

Some couples are simply a joy to spend time with, and Annie and Luke were exactly that. Congratulations again, Annie and Luke. You were amazing, your families were amazing and your wedding was all sorts of wonderful ❤️

And this isn’t the last you’ll see of their day. I’ll be sharing Annie and Luke’s wedding highlights film very soon…

Some proposal shoots require a little more personal sacrifice than others…

I met Liam at Surprise View, where he was preparing to ask Selina a rather important question. I’d found what I thought was the perfect place to set up and wait for them, only to discover that the local midges had also found the perfect place for their evening meal. By the time Liam and Selina arrived, I was being eaten alive.

Thankfully, it was completely worth it.

After Selina said yes, we spent some time exploring the woods and viewpoints around Surprise View before heading down to Lodore Jetty on the edge of Derwentwater, named after the nearby Lodore Falls.

Beautiful light, an incredible setting and two genuinely lovely people to photograph. An absolutely awesome evening and a proposal shoot I won’t forget in a hurry.

Congratulations, Liam and Selina!

Here's a handful of some of the images we created.

What a day with Amalia & Ben 🤍

Some weddings just leave you smiling all day, and this was definitely one of them.

We had sunshine, showers and just about every kind of Lake District weather, but none of it mattered. Everyone embraced it, the atmosphere never dropped for a second, and the outdoor ceremony at the beautiful couldn’t have been more perfect.

One thing that really stood out to me was how much thought Amalia & Ben had put into the day. They’d taken their favourite ideas from weddings they’d been to over the years and made them their own. Homemade drinks, a bring-a-dessert table, a bit of geocaching and so many other personal touches made the whole day feel completely unique to them.

They were an absolute joy to photograph, surrounded by the loveliest family and friends who threw themselves into every moment, and it was a genuine pleasure to be there and capture it all.

Congratulations again, you two. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together. ❤️

What a wedding this was.

My first time photographing a wedding at Holbeck Ghyll, and honestly, I hope it won’t be the last. Dee and Yianni first got in touch a couple of years ago when they were planning something much smaller. I wasn’t available at the time, but I remember getting on with them straight away.

Fast forward, and Dee got back in touch to say the plan had changed slightly. The tiny wedding had become a full celebration at Holbeck Ghyll, with family, friends, music, flowers, dancing, Greek energy, Mediterranean touches and some of the best suppliers in the Lakes.

And it really did have everything.

An outdoor ceremony with rain in the forecast and wind threatening to make things interesting. Somehow, the weather held. Thank goodness, because there was so much riding on that ceremony being outside.

There was an owl ring bearer, a room that felt like walking into a forest, fresh flowers everywhere, and the most incredible scent of roses filling the space. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many flowers at a wedding.

Dee and Yianni met through dancing over 36 years ago, and after all that time, they finally got around to tying the knot. Watching them celebrate together, surrounded by the people who clearly adore them, was genuinely something special.

This is just a small preview for now, but there is so much more to come from this one.

Dee and Yianni, you absolute legends. I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
