🌿 A LITTLE MOVEMENT THIS WEEK? 🌿
If your body is feeling a bit more creaky than bendy at the moment, you're definitely not alone! 😄
Maybe your shoulders need a stretch, your hips need a bit of attention, or you simply fancy an hour where nobody wants anything from you.
There’s still time to join me for a class this week.
Nothing fancy, no need to be super-flexible, and absolutely no judgement if your downward dog looks more like a slightly confused dog! 🐶😂
Just some movement, a little strengthening, plenty of stretching and, of course, a lovely relaxation at the end.
Creaky joints, stiff bodies and complete beginners very welcome. 💚
🌿 This week's classes:
Wednesday – Hatha Yoga in Messingham Village Hall
Thursday – Small-group Yoga in my private studio in Laughton Just 6 people, so lovely and relaxed.
Friday – Seated Yoga @9.15am in Messingham Village Hall
Friday – Hatha Yoga @10.30am in Messingham Village Hall
And if you've never been before, your first class is £5. 😊
Come along, have a stretch and see how you feel afterwards.
You might even surprise yourself! 🌿

September brings new routines, busy diaries and lots to organise – especially after the summer holidays.

But amongst the school runs, work, family and everyday jobs, it’s important to make a little space for yourself too. 💚

Wednesday, 9th September, there are three opportunities to join me for yoga:
☀️ 9.30–10.45am – Hatha Yoga📍 The Pavilion, Bottesford
A balanced practice to improve strength, flexibility, mobility and posture, with breathwork and relaxation.
🌸 11.15am–12.15pm – Seated Yoga📍 The Pavilion, Bottesford
A gentle but purposeful class using movement, stretches, breathing and relaxation to support mobility, strength, balance and wellbeing.

🌙 6.50–8.05pm – Hatha Yoga📍 Messingham Village Hall
A lovely way to finish the day – moving, stretching, releasing tension and allowing yourself some time to slow down and relax.
All my classes are friendly, welcoming and accessible, with options to suit different abilities.
You don't need to be flexible or experienced – and if you've never tried yoga with me before, your first class is just £5!🌿
✨ Improve mobility & flexibility✨ Support strength & balance✨ Ease stiffness & everyday tension✨ Calm a busy mind✨ Improve body awareness✨ Make time for yourself
Whether you’re a busy mum getting back into a new school-term routine, returning to exercise after the summer, or simply looking for some regular time for yourself…
There’s a class waiting for you. 💚🧘‍♀️

The Hall floor is looking good after its recent sanding and re marking the badminton lines. Many thanks to those who had to cancel activities last week for this to take place.

The fire doors have also been re painted and looking like new again!

Also thanks to Kim Grundy for doing a quick turn around on the cleaning as it creates so much dust and extra work 👍🥰.

We need to take care of this floor. If we do it will keep us going for many years 👍😊.

🌿 A NEW ROUTINE IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER… BUT DON’T FORGET YOU! 🌿
The summer holidays are coming to an end, the children are heading back to school and life starts to find its rhythm again.
For many of us, September feels like a fresh start – new routines, new plans and a chance to get back to the things that make us feel good.
So, while you’re organising everyone else’s diaries… why not put yourself in yours? 💚
🧘‍♀️ Yoga can be a wonderful part of your weekly routine.
It can help you:✨ Move more freely✨ Improve strength, flexibility and balance✨ Ease everyday aches and tension✨ Calm a busy mind✨ Breathe more deeply✨ Make time to pause and reset
And you don’t need to be flexible, experienced or “good at yoga”.
My classes are friendly, welcoming and accessible, with options to suit different abilities.
There are classes throughout the week in Bottesford, Messingham and Laughton – so there’s hopefully one that fits around your life.
First class with me? Just £5. 🌸
I’ll be sharing this week’s classes over the next few days, so keep an eye out and see which one might work for you.
Sometimes the hardest part is simply making the decision to put yourself on the list. 💚

Our Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday 23rd September 6.00pm.

If you have a few hours to spare occasionally and would like to support your community come along to see what we do to maintain your Village Hall.

Without volunteers the Village Hall would not be there for everyone to use. If you have been considering volunteering for a local Charity this is an opportunity to get involved 👍.

Hello, Tickets for our show at messingham village hall next year went on sale today. Information here - Purple Pineapple Theatre is coming back, Messingham! 🚗
Last year, you brought the absolute energy for The Unfriend, so we just had to put Messingham Village Hall right back on our touring map for 2027.
If you loved the laughs last time, you won’t want to miss Ian Hislop and Nick Newman's A Bunch of Amateurs.
Fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele thinks he’s landed a career-saving gig playing King Lear at Stratford. The catch? It’s not Stratford-upon-Avon, but a sleepy village in Suffolk. Instead of acting royalty, he finds himself working with an enthusiastic group of local am-dram performers trying to save their beloved theatre. Expect massive egos, colliding worlds, and heaps of laughs!
Grab your £7 Early Bird tickets before the 30th of September and secure your seats before they’re gone!

Take 60- 75 minutes just for you. Step away from the demands of everyday life, stretch out any tension, and leave feeling calmer, stronger, and refreshed.
Why not come along and see how yoga can benefit both mind and body?

A total of £394.45 was raised from the last two Munchers. Thankyou everyone who has contributed in any way. All funds go towards refurbishing the hall. Thanks to Emma, Craig and volunteers who help at Munchers. They have raised a huge amount of money.

You may have noticed new fire doors have replaced the old ones. They just need another coat of paint and fire exit signs added. We will be having the other doors painted the same colour or replaced where necessary.

The main hall floor will be refurbished in August and the badminton lines refreshed.

Like most community buildings refurbishments are ongoing and all require extra funds. Costs are not always generated from general hire. So thank-you everyone for supporting Messingham Village Hall 👍👏
