Today on Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of the many mums I’ve had the privilege to honour through the celebrations of life I’ve shared with their families.
Each story, each tribute, each tear and smile has spoken of the quiet, extraordinary love that mother’s give so freely.
For many, today’s a day of flowers, cards and warm embraces and importantly being together. But for others, it carries a different weight, a tender ache where Mum‘s presence once was.
Yet in those moments of sadness, there is also something deeply beautiful.
The love that shaped us, guided us and held us, never truly leaves. It lives on in the memories we share, the values we carry forward, and the stories families tell when we are gathered to remember.
I feel so blessed, so grateful to have witnessed those moments of remembrance.
Those times where grief and gratitude sit by side-by-side, and where the depth of love from a mum is felt in every word spoken.
Today we celebrate mothers, but we also hold space for the longing, the memories, and the enduring love that continues long after goodbye.
Forever in our hearts 🥰
