One dancefloor across decades of soul-filled sounds.

Join us in the Dancehall at Butlers Club for a night that moves freely between Soul, Motown, Northern Soul, Ska and Reggae — connected by irresistible rhythms, big voices, uplifting hooks and records made for dancing.

Expect timeless Motown floor-fillers, high-energy Northern Soul stompers, Jamaican ska classics, deep reggae grooves and soulful selections that keep the room moving from start to finish. This is not about staying in one lane: it is a celebration of the shared energy, spirit and musical roots that link these sounds together.

Whether you come for the sweet soul harmonies, the fast-paced Northern Soul, the offbeat ska rhythm or the bass-heavy reggae selections, there will be something for you on the dancefloor.

Tickets are £5 online with no admin fee added. Tickets OTD will also be £5 but please be aware that the night has a capacity limit so to be guaranteed entry we advise getting your tickets in advance.

🌙 WELCOME TO CARPE NOCTEM 🌙

Carpe Noctem — Seize the Night.

This is it. The start of something new for Scunthorpe music & dance lovers.

We're bringing monthly DJ nights focused on the sounds you grew up with — Soul, Motown, Northern Soul, Funk, Ska, Reggae, and 2 Tone. No playlists. No Junk Fillers. Just properly selected tunes played by someone who knows how to fill a dance floor!

THE DETAILS:
📍 Venues across Scunthorpe (Function Rooms we actually trust)
💷 PNM £5 entry — bar money stays with the venue, door money keeps us going
⏰ 4 hours of music per night
🎯 Made for listeners who remember when nights out had Soul and floors were filled

WHY WE'RE DOING THIS:

Too many events in our area cater to one age bracket or play safe, predictable tracks. We're building nights for those who know their Stax from their Atlantic, who want to hear the B-side deep cut alongside the hits, and who believe a great DJ should care about the music people love to hear.

WHAT'S NEXT:

First event date and venue confirmed and details will follow. Follow the page, hit "Interested" when the first gig goes live, and keep an eye out for announcements.

Drop a comment below telling us what track you'd want guaranteed at a night like this — we're reading every reply.

Seize the night. Fill the floor!
