Just when you think, "Ooo, it's finally summer, might be time to consider organising Rock the Party 3.0, in comes a rain-soaked Rishi..."

Just wanted to make a quick post to thank everyone who has supported Rock the Party in any capacity, from promoting, to performing, to attending, to engaging.

Huge thanks again to Café INDIE for allowing us to promote young artists especially and for the ethos you bring to the High Street.

Thank you to Foz for helping with the first event. I learnt yonks.

And thank you to all the artists who have performed and/or have promoted the event, whether that was for the cause or simply to have a fantastic night:

Hello, everyone!

Just want to say another huge thank you to everyone who attended our second gig last night.

For transparency: after paying the venue hire we made over £500 that will go to the local Labour Party's general election campaign.

Regardless of why you came, whether that was the cause or for a good night or even that you came without knowing it was a fundraiser, thank you a million. The positive feedback received was amazing to hear. That some felt the night was a bargain, too, is really awesome to hear. One of our values with Rock the Party is Accessibility (as well as Quality), and knowing that a great night can be had for cheap in the name of a good cause.

Huge thank you goes to the performers, who were great to work with, incredibly friendly and cooperative with each other, it was absolutely lovely to be a part of.

Huge thanks to Café INDIE for their cooperation with us for the fundraiser. Having your support as a local cooperative business, as a youth work and volunteer project, and as an in general great place to be - all of that has made it a blast once again.

And of course a huge thank you to our would-be headliners Scarlet Oblivion and to their lead singer Lucy. Hope you're starting to get better, mate! (Pst, we're thinking August/September for the next one maybe but don't say anything, yeah?)

Less than 1 sleep till the day of the fundraiser gig!!!

Big shoutout to Leif and Outdated who on Tuesday performed at INDIE Scenes’ first event to a thundering audience.

They started working with Rock the Party 2 near the beginning and have made huge contributions drumming up interest and bringing us to a younger crowd. Big thanks, people!

Head down to Café INDIE this evening and come support some amazing young performers, including Outdated and Leif who will be performing for Rock the Party 2 on Saturday as well!

INDIE Scenes is a new programme through the Indie that is helping young people develop their confidence performing and to hone their abilities. It’s a fantastic addition to Indie’s already exemplary volunteer and youth programmes.

Before continuing with this post, we just want to say a huge thank you to Scarlet Oblivion who sadly won’t be performing with us on the 2 March. Their lead singer Lucy is very ill at the moment.

Lucy has been a close friend of Rock the Party since its inception, and we hope that she has a swift recovery.

We are very fortunate to have positive news regarding the event, however, as we will now be having Mike Love Sam joining us. Their Instagram can be found below. It means a lot to receive your support.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I’m afraid there has been some bad news. Scarlet Oblivion have had to pull out of the event due to illness. We’re in the process of recruiting some more local talents, however, so we fight on!

Hope to see you all there on the 2 March. Tomorrow, the event page and ads will reflect this change plus some exciting news!
