Two weeks before the wedding, the first and final fitting of my August bride who lives 185 miles away! I admit I was a little nervous as we haven't been able to do in-person fittings because of the distance, but all was well - phew!

While I was with my lovely bride, I finished the neckline and pinned the hem and we decided on the sleeve design. I think the short sleeves really suit the Grecian style of the dress. I love the silvery trim too. Credit to the bride, who designed her own dress. All I have to do now is a bit of finishing before the big day.

My August bride lives in Wiltshire so we have done measurements and toile fittings by Zoom and post - where there's a will there's a way! These photos show: the crepe dress fabric draped on the stand to give the bride an idea how the bodice will look; toile #2 in green fabric; the b***d underbodice and the dress partly made up.

I couldn't agree more, Mr da Vinci! I love this quote, it epitomises what I try to achieve in my wedding dress designs.

It's been a while, but here's my latest creation! I'm really into short dresses at the moment - they're modern and sassy and suit brides of all ages. The use of just one or two design features, such as in this dress, gives a certain understated elegance (in my opinion!) which I just love.
