The 2027 Saltford Calendar is now for sale in the Post Office priced at £8.50 which is the same price as last year and represents great value for the money.

Our stock is limited so do buy soon to avoid disappointment .

Thank you to Saltford Scouts for organising the parade, and to all involved in creating the beautiful Saltford Poppy Project 2026 (an independent volunteer initaitve).

📍 Resident notice: Road closures will be in place on the morning of Sunday 8 November. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys.

Sunday 18 October will see the return of our popular Flea Market in the warm and dry at Saltford Hall. We have sold out stalls so nearly 40 to browse.

Stalls will be there selling all sorts of things such as household goods, clothes, toys etc. There will be bargains galore to tempt you and entry is for free.

When you fancy a break from all that bargain hunting make a stop at our ever popular Community Café. There you will find Fairtradee tea, coffee, soft drinks, home made cakes and delicious Newton Farm bacon rolls with melting brie! There will also be a few pasties!

Tell me why wouldn't you come with all this to tempt you? It all kicks off at 10am and proceedings end at 1pm.

Just a reminder that this coming Friday Saltford Community Cinema is showing the award winning film Hamnet. This dramatises the family life of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Hathaway as they cope with the devastating loss of their 11-year-old son. Directed by Chloé Zhao and based on Maggie O'Farrell's acclaimed novel it won major industry accolades, including an Oscar for Best Actress for Jessie Buckley.

Showing on your doorstep at Saltford Hall on Friday 16 October 2026 at 7:30 pm. Drinks and ice creams will be available from 6:45pm.

Tickets are only £6 and can be purchased in advance via online or just turn up and pay on the door

Just a reminder that this Friday (9 October 2026) the SCA and Santa Dash are bringing you an evening with a difference, a quiz to get your mind going followed by a disco to get your body moving! Join us for a fun packed evening raising much needed funds for both parties.

Doors open at Saltford Hall at 7.30pm.

There are just a few tickets available at a cost of £10 per person and include table nibbles and tickets for teams of 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 are obtainable online https://www.tickettailor.com/events/SCAEvents or from Saltford Community PO/Library Hub.

There will be our normal reasonable priced licensed bar and ice creams for sale.

World Textile Day West is all set up at Saltford Hall and will be open from 10 am to 4 pm today.

As you can see from the photos there is a huge range of textiles available which have been sourced directly from those who have made them from across the world.

We will once again be running our community cafe alongside all day so come hungry - Newton Farm bacon rolls, Cornish Pasties, cheese rolls, loads of home made cakes and GF options.

There will be talks to attend as well as the magnificent displays of textiles from around the world. These will be at 11am and 2pm

Entry is completely free to enter with just a small payment if you would like to see the talks. Tickets will be available on the door.

They are a perfect fit with our Fairtrade village status.

Saltford's wonderful annual Christmas Market returns this year on Saturday 5 December to the dry and warmth of Saltford Hall.

If you fancy selling your seasonal goods at our Christmas Market then don’t delay as we have already sold out downstairs and are now selling the few remaining stalls upstairs at £15 each. Please contact Martin Coles on 07754543719 or email [email protected] to receive an application form.

On the day Santa will be there with his Sleigh accompanied by his Elves to greet you. Stalls will be offering a huge variety of ideas for Christmas presents so you're bound to find something for even that difficult "what to buy them person". We will also be selling our very reasonable priced Saltford Calendars for 2027 and a raffle.

Then after the shopping relax with a glass of mulled w**e and a mince pie or if you feel peckish savour one of the cafe's specialities, a Newton Farm bacon roll with brie.

Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere and be inspired! The fun starts at 10am and continues through to 2pm.
