Shut Up & Write is back on Thursday 8th Jan.

No big New Year’s resolutions here. Just an intention to put pen to paper.

We meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month and dedicate an hour to working on our own writing projects. We are a welcome space for all writers, whether you’re just starting out, or a published author.

A wee reminder that the next session on the 11th Dec is the last one before Christmas (even we’re not committed enough to write on Christmas Day!) 🎅🏻

Zero judgement if you need to use the hour to write Christmas Cards in peace!

In case you can’t make it to the last session, a huge thank you and Happy Christmas from Ian and I to everyone who has come along to a session in 2025. It’s been lovely to see so many new faces! If you’ve set writing deadlines by the end of the year (like me) then don’t worry too much if it doesn’t get done, Christmas can be a busy and overwhelming time. Plenty of time to get cracking with writing in 2026, we’ll see you in the new year! ☺️

Washing up, hoovering, pe***ng the clothes out…I’ve even changed the filter in my dehumidifier to procrastinate from writing before 🫠

There’s no jobs to do, or people vying for your attention at Shut Up & Write. There’s just a quiet space to drink coffee, eat cake, and most importantly, write.
