Bemerton Film Society’s January film is Widow Clicquot.

Doors open: 7:00pm, Film starts: 7:30pm
Entrance £7
So what’s it about?
Based on the true story of Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin Clicquot, a young French widow in the early 1800s who inherited her husband's failing champagne business. She defied Napoleonic-era patriarchy, and transformed the business into a global luxury brand through innovation and resilience, navigating wartime trade embargoes and the loss of a shipment to Amsterdam, becoming one of the world's first major female entrepreneurs.

Broken Bridges Coffee Morning at St John’s Place
Saturday 17th January
10:30 - 12:30

A thank you to everyone who has helped to get Broken Bridges to where it is today. Come along and find out more about Broken Bridges, 34 acres of meadows and woodland lying between Lower Bemerton and Harnham, which have now been secured for the community.
The morning will feature John Abbott telling something of the history of Fitzgeralds Farm and David Riddle outlining some of the plans for the future.

Please come along and contribute any ideas you may have for the way forward. More information about the project to date is available at https://mybrokenbridges.org.uk/
