Can't wait for Sunday! The brilliant Wells Food Festival - see you there!
What can we expect from this year’s festival, we hear you ask?
🛍The centerpiece of our event - the artisan market - will have over 200 stalls, located along the High Street and Sadler Street, the Market Place, Palace Green and the Moat and on the Recreation Ground. We will also be opening up a WHOLE NEW AREA - watch this space for more info!
🍜Street food galore, with something to please everyone! We have vegan options and some kiddie-sized portions for our smaller visitors too (these will be located in the Children’s Zone).
👨🍳Little Joe’s Kitchen (was Fun Kitchen) - the sell-out cookery workshop just for kids, this time with a fishy theme.! Make sure you sign-up early on the day to avoid missing out.
👨🍳In addition to kid’s cookery workshops, LJK's Simon Gray will be introducing his School of Fish educational sessions for older visitors too. Watch this space for further info.
🥂The English Wine Marquee will be back, alongside the newly revamped Village Green, where you’ll find extended seating and a variety of drinks available where you can sit and enjoy music from fabulous local talent Sam Evans.
🐾The Children’s Trail - pick up your copy for a fun and interactive way to see the festival - prizes will be awarded for all completed trails!
💡Food for Thought - this year’s marquee will explore the importance of food in our communities.
🥳The Children’s Zone - more fun activities for our younger visitors, courtesy of Wells Cathedral Prep School, Wells Scouts and Stepping Stones Nursery.
⭐️Charlie Bigham’s - Our Headline Sponsor has a host of things planned, from a mini exhibition featuring information and photographs of the Bigham’s quarry then and now to an upcycling activity with prizes to be won. They will also have a selection of their delicious home-cooked meals available to buy.
📸The Wells Cathedral School Photography Competition Exhibition - come and see some of our young local talent’s work on display in the Town Hall.
🍽Also in the Town Hall, you can find a variety of stalls, many of which will be selling delightful homeware and kitchenware
