All roads lead to The Ostrich tomorrow night. Come and sing, play chat or just listen. Expect to see some familiar faces, some we haven't seen for a while and who knows, perhaps someone new!! We'll kick off around 8.30

It's the third Tuesday of the month, which can only mean one thing. It's an open house at the Ostrich!

I'm halfway through an incredibly busy two-week period, so I'm looking forward to relaxing in good company tomorrow evening at the Ostrich, Bury New Road, where we'll gather to sing, laugh, listen, and play. You are all cordially invited to join us!

Last year, after I released my Double CD, I was surprised to find that many people no longer had the means to play music CDs.
As a result, I have spent no time at all trying to promote my recording.
Now, however, the whole thing (40 tracks) is to be available on the Bandcamp website.

There you will also find a second Album called ‘Encores and extras’ containing all the tracks we recorded that wouldn’t fit on the Double CD.

Tonight we'll be remembering our good friend Rob Dunford, who died suddenly just after Christmas.
We'll be singing some great songs, reciting some great poetry and having a great chinwag about anything that takes our fancy.

We'll kick off at around 8.30,

Today I heard the sad news that one of our regulars at acoustic sessions, Rob Dunford has died. He was a familiar face at many folk and poetry events in Manchester and Salford, including the Old Pint Pot and my own acoustic session at the Eagle Inn, Salford, and more recently The Ostrich, Bury Old Road.
I have no details of funeral arrangements as yet.
