**Seasonal opening times at The Smithy**

With two full seasons under our belt at The Smithy, the Shapinsay Development Trust has looked at what has worked and what hasn’t.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to set out three “seasons” throughout the year, so that it's clear from the outset what our open days are.

These are:
• Winter: Friday takeaways & pub on Fri and Sat. Runs from October to the end of April.
• Off peak: As above, but with the café open from 11.30am to 3pm on Fri, Sat & Sundays. Runs in May and September as well as in the Easter and October holidays.
• Peak season: As above but with the café open every day except Tuesdays. Runs in June, July and August.

So as of this weekend, we will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the whole month of May, moving on to "peak season" the first week of June.

W/C 1st May the workshop will be open to visitors on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, closed for workshop courses on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. 😎
