Why not make a whole weekend of it? ✨

We’re seeing more and more couples move away from the traditional wedding day and instead create an entire weekend of celebrations, and honestly, we’re here for it.

There’s something so lovely about welcoming your guests before the big day, giving everyone time to arrive, settle in and actually spend some time together. Whether that’s a relaxed dinner, welcome drinks, a beach BBQ or simply gathering around a fire with a glass of something cold.

Then comes the main event. The bit you’ve been planning, dreaming about and waiting for.

And rather than the celebrations coming to an abrupt end the following morning, there’s the opportunity to slow things down. A leisurely breakfast, a day-after lunch, a swim, a walk, a boat trip or simply more time together, but without the formality and excitement of the wedding day itself.

For us, one of the biggest benefits of a wedding weekend is time. Time to properly catch up with the people who have travelled to celebrate with you. Time to enjoy the venue you’ve chosen. Time to experience the location beyond the ceremony and reception. And time to create more memories that aren’t confined to a single day.

“I love wedding photography because every wedding is different… it comes down to the people, really.”

And perhaps that says everything you need to know about what keeps Ryan Goold coming back, 15 years after first stepping behind the camera.

Based in Newquay, Ryan takes a relaxed, natural approach, giving couples the space to be themselves while he captures the day as it unfolds.

What we particularly love is his attention to the moments between the big moments: the shared glances, spontaneous laughter and little exchanges that tell you so much about the people there. His photographs capture how the day felt, as well as how it looked.

There’s no pressure to perform for the camera or turn your wedding into a photoshoot. For Ryan, it’s about getting to know you, helping you feel comfortable and finding the story in what happens naturally.

On Monday 12th October at 10.30am, we’ll be joined by Jen Ayres, Finance Consultant, for our next Members’ Club Masterclass.

Jen Ayres is an experienced management accountant, business leader and finance coach with a background spanning professional practice and in-house commercial roles. She has supported businesses across multiple sectors — from local SMEs to £50m-turnover companies — and uses both her finance and commercial business experience to help business owners develop strong financial understanding, improve commercial decision-making, and build robust financial plans for long-term success.

Together, we’ll explore how to better understand the value of our time, experience, services and businesses, and how this can translate into pricing that works for both our clients and ourselves.

Jen will be sharing a 45-minute presentation, followed by 45 minutes of Q&A, giving our members plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and get practical advice.
