The drinks you serve may only be a small part of your wedding day, but they can make a big impression. 🥂

Planning your wedding timeline? Don’t forget buffer time!
Here’s where to build in extra time so your day flows smoothly without stress. From getting ready to golden hour portraits, these small additions make a big difference.
1)Getting Ready – Add at least 30 mins extra for hair & makeup. Things can always run over!

2)Transport – Build in a cushion between locations. Traffic, parking, and guests arriving late can all add delays.

3)Photos – Allow extra time for group shots and golden hour portraits, they can take longer than you think.

4)Between Ceremony & Reception – Give guests time to mingle and move and suppliers time to reset the space.

5)Speech + Meal Gaps – Allow flexibility in your dinner & speech schedule. Speeches can easily overrun!

6)Golden Hour Glow Up – Want dreamy couple photos at sunset? Check the time and plan a 15–20 min window.

7)Evening Changes – Outfit swap? First dance? Add a breather so it’s not rushed.

8)Bonus tip: Add 10–15 mins to every major section, you’ll thank yourself on the day!

Save this for later or send it to your partner!

One of the questions I’m asked most often is “How much alcohol do we actually need?”

While every wedding is unique, these guidelines will help you avoid running out (or massively over-ordering!).

Remember to think about:
✨ The length of your day
✨ Summer vs winter weddings
✨ Your guests’ drinking habits
✨ Plenty of alcohol-free options’

Save this post for later if you’re planning your wedding! 🤍

Looking for ways to elevate your wedding film?

We recently spoke with Josh from , who shared his top tips for creating a wedding video that feels authentic, emotional, and truly unforgettable.

“Your wedding film isn’t just about capturing the big moments; it’s about preserving the atmosphere, the emotions, and all the little moments in between. The most beautiful films happen when couples are fully present, enjoying every second of their day.”

According to Josh, a few simple choices can make a huge difference to how your wedding film looks and feels:

✨Encourage an unplugged ceremony and confetti walk so guests can be fully present.

✨Consider a first look for those genuine, emotional reactions.

✨Write personal vows to add meaning and personality to your film.

✨Choose quality confetti for beautiful visuals and joyful moments.

✨Include interactive details such as a ch*****ne tower, wedding newspaper or unique entertainment to create natural, candid footage.

✨Build breathing room into your timeline so the day feels relaxed rather than rushed.

✨Spend time together during your drinks reception to capture those natural moments as newlyweds.

✨Keep your getting-ready space tidy for cleaner, more polished footage.

✨Embrace whatever weather the day brings—some of the most cinematic shots happen when things don’t go exactly to plan.

✨Most importantly, trust your videographer and focus on celebrating. The magic happens when you’re simply enjoying the moment.
