Love the nostalgia of this trend. Check out the bowl cut, the 70s had a lot to answer for but they were good times. Rose petal perfume in grandmas garden and watching tomatoes ripen on the windowsill. Dippy eggs with soldiers and jumping on my dad when he got home from work. Driving too fast to gymnastics listening to Stevie wonder and Pink Floyd. Doodling flowers and pretty cottages and planting hyacinths and drinking little bottles of milk at school. Learning to ride my bike and learning to read. Watching Smokey and the Bandit and staying up late for Top of the Pops. Running through Bracken covered hills and paddling in streams. Happy memories ❤️

Life in full colour 💖 Hi everyone, I’m back! My first job after my winter break was a special one. The funeral of a special friend Helen who we said goodbye to today. In her final weeks I was lucky enough to be able to discuss with her what she’d like to choose for today’s service and true to form she choose a rainbow palette of joyful colour. To celebrate her wonderful life. I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate for a woman who lit up every room with her smile, her light, her joy and kindness. I shall miss her but carry the gifts she gave me in my heart forever 💫. I’ll be bringing some more spring colour to Newport Farmers Market tomorrow in her honour. Tulips, ranunculus, delphiniums and more. Come grab a bunch and let’s celebrate beautiful flowers and beautiful souls 💖

Waterbaby Ever After 💫🎄👗 Inspired by fairytale gown for the Ever After premiere in the 90s (niche I know but go with it) here is the years Waterbaby Christmas mantel and tree decorations in my tiny cottage home. A frothy confection of muted pastels in powder blue, peach and pink and little deep blue and darkest grape thrown in for a hint of 90s grunge attitude. Delicate pattern, lace ribbon, and a tapestry of hops, ferns and hydrangeas for natural highlights. It feels truly magical, gentle and cosy. Just the tonic after a busy party season. And that’s a wrap! I’ve spent the last few days delivering florals to my clients homes to add an extra little bit of Christmas magic to their festivities and what a joy it has been! It’s finally time to hang my scissors up for another year and what a season I’ve had. My busiest Christmas season ever, 17 wreath workshops,
8 days of markets, 8 different venues, ready to hang wreaths, home decorations, more candles than I can count and an awful lot of happy memories made with some amazing hosts and customers. I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the support you have given my little business this year and every year. I feel so lucky to call so many of you friends now and every Christmas feels to me like a reunion where I get to catchup with so many people I cherish. You’re the ones who make it possible for me to give my kids Christmas presents and who feed my creative soul and get my introvert self out into the world on a regular basis and remind me of all the joy, love and kindness in the world, so a huge massive Waterbaby Thank You to you all and a very Merry Christmas! Max’s Christmas Staircase 💫🎄 I installed this winter forest garland along this beautiful staircase today and the little four legged man of the house kept a very close eye on me to make sure it was up to his exacting standards. Last Christmas ❤️🥹🎄🔥 My Christmas fireplace last year, two soft crescents of foliage in classic red and green. I loved it 🥰 I’ve already decided on this years scheme, though my mirror is currently still bare until I finish my work. My tree is up though so I’ve made a start. Looking forward to getting creative hopefully by next weekend. I’ll show you how it turns out. I love thinking up different designs each year, adding a few new baubles to my treasured ornaments that I bring out every Christmas to create a whole new atmosphere while still holding onto the nostalgia of my old pieces. I think that sums me up, sentimental but always with an eye to the future. Have you put your decorations up yet? Much love Cx
