A riot of colour for A&A’s beautiful celebration this weekend, created and installed during the height of a summer heatwave. 🥵🥵🥵

The brief was simple: colourful — and we embraced it fully.

Having the freedom to design within a colour palette opens up so many creative possibilities. It allowed us to select the best quality and best value flowers available on the day, delivering maximum impact while making the most of the budget.

Working seasonally means the flowers reflect the time of year, grounding your wedding in a specific moment that’s beautifully echoed in your photos for years to come.

All florals were designed first for the ceremony, then thoughtfully repurposed to transform the reception, with a particular focus on surrounding the couple with flowers throughout their day.

I’m incredibly fortunate to work with such relaxed, trusting couples, and I’m always grateful for the creative freedom they place in my hands. ❤️❤️❤️

Today we celebrate the quiet strength, the proud tears, and the steady arms that walk their daughters into a brand new chapter.

There’s something deeply emotional about the moment a father walks his daughter down the aisle, and we’re honoured to have witnessed so many of them.

To all the fathers, new fathers in law, and those strong enough to stand in a father place, thank you for your love, your presence, and your walk.

We're stepping into the peak of the growing season—one of the most exciting times of the year for flowers! This period brings an abundance of beautiful, locally grown varieties, many of which add unique charm and surprise to your displays.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s currently on offer at the markets:

🌸 Mock Orange – A must-have, with its heavenly, citrusy scent.
🌿 Nigella – Delicate and whimsical, perfect for softening arrangements.
💜 Catmint – With its subtle lavender-blue hues, a lovely filler.
🌼 Ox-eye Daisies – Cheerful and classic, ideal for early summer bouquets.
💙 Cornflower – Vivid blues that pop in any arrangement.
🌈 Bearded Iris – Their season is coming to a close, but what a show they put on in May!
🌹 Scented Garden Roses – Rich fragrance and classic elegance.
🌸 Aquilegia – Delicate, nodding heads full of movement and grace.
🌸 Peonies – Still going strong, with English Sarah Bernhardt varieties particularly abundant.
🧡 Geums – A late-spring treasure, now fading, but unforgettable for May.

Plus, we’re seeing buckets and buckets of gorgeous mixed English varieties, think Lupins, Sweet Rocket, Mint, Veronica, and more. It’s a flower lover’s dream.

There’s something truly special about English flowers, their delicate, flyaway stems and interesting shapes and textures bring a whimsical, organic beauty to arrangements. They're a striking contrast to the sometimes “blobby,” too-perfect appearance of imported blooms.

So now’s the time to celebrate the beauty of British flowers in all their natural, seasonal glory.

We loved creating florals that felt classic, romantic, and full of life. Vases lined the aisle for the ceremony, filled with soft, seasonal blooms. Afterwards, we repurposed them to add to the table centre designs, adding an extra layer of fullness to the reception tables.
Im so grateful to have played a small part in such a memorable day for a wonderful couple.

Presented with a tricky palette, we rose to the challenge, carefully sourcing the right varieties to reflect both her colours and the season.

Blending Equadorian roses with a plethora of English-grown blooms: garden roses, sweetpeas, catmint, geums, sweet rocket, Zinnias and (can you believe it?) English dahlias… in June!

So pleased with the outcome. It's challenges like these that stretch your creativity and lead to something truly unique 💐✨

One week on and still dreaming of this elegant barn wedding at Alpheton Hall Barns. Hanging hoops and ladder lighting dressed in lush foliage brought the outdoors in, while bud vases, blush-toned florals, and timeless taper candles completed the look.
