A little post to share that I am closing the doors to Oh Wonder. It feels like it’s been inevitable for a while and I’m not sure if this is forever or just for the time being but I have recently started working for a wonderful Jewellery Business and have really really found myself thriving with the structure and financial stability of employment. I am immensely grateful to have been self employed while my babies were small giving me a lot more freedom than a lot of parents and caregivers get however now they are both at school this is the best decision for me and my family. The mental freedom this new job has given me has been overwhelming and so needed. Calligraphy will always be a part of what I do (and I’m very lucky to have a job where they want to encourage that) and I will still be creating in my spare time however it will be for me….for fun….something I have missed having the time and energy for so much over the years. Instagram will hopefully go back to being a platform I share snippets rather than somewhere I feel intense pressure to ‘sell’ on but it will be on my personal account .cooper.dalton (and i will always be happy to answer calligraphy qu!) This little business of mine has opened so many doors over the years and I will miss it intensely but in recent years it has become exhausting to run and just not financially secure enough to continue. The doors closing but will always be open a crack because who knows where life will lead. But for now it’s farewell and onto a new chapter 📖🩷
I will be selling a LOAD of tools and materials soon so keep an 👀 on my stories for that, will likely be via vinted! 🦋

Planned to post this yesterday buuuuut turned out my kids had an inset day….which we didn’t realise until we arrived at school. SO yesterday was a right off work wise (did get some seeds sown though 🙌🏻) so I’m back in the studio today to a desk of utter chaos.

Sunday was spent at wedding fair which was so gorgeous and a really lovely day meeting couples and suppliers. The main room is stunning - the wallpaper 😱 and to top it all off the lovely was there too with her new live poetry offering (absolutely check this out it’s such a beautiful idea) 📝

This week I’ve got a tonne of admin to do and some lovely finishing on a wedding suite. But it’s also my birthday tomorrow (37! Which is weird as I’m definitely only 25 🎂) so I’ve got a couple of days planned with lovely lunches! 🩷

2024 💫 what a mega year. The year when we relocated our family to the East Sussex countryside and started to build a new life, visited the beach whenever we wanted, added 6 fluffy chickens to our family, lost my mother in law, big O got diagnosed with ADHD (finally) and I asked for help and started medication for anxiety and depression. The year where my littlest O started school 💔, I restarted my business, experienced the Eras Tour 🪩 and got my creativity back. I am ending the year totally and utterly exhausted but in our new home feeling lovely and content. I’ve spent the majority of the year not working on Oh Wonder, with a big move and spending lots of time with little O in the run up to his big school start. But since getting back into things in September in a new workspace I’ve had lovely clients, lovely feedback and I’ve finally been in the headspace to create again after a rocky few (neverending) years. Things are still pretty quiet and I have no idea what the next year looks like for OW but I am for the first time in a while feeling positive and brimming with ideas ✨ My words for 2025 are creative & calm and right now I am actually feeling both those things. 💕 Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy new year full of health, happiness, sparkles and lots of snogs 💖🥨🐓🌸 See you in 2025 🪩

I went a bit extra with my gift tags this year…hand drawn bows cut out on the cricut and then personalised with calligraphy 🎀 I think they’d also make fab place settings!

2024 Baubles….I said I wasn’t going to sell them this year but I’ve had a few private commissions and therefore have the materials to do some for you! I’ve posted on my stories details (highlight 24 Baubles) if you would like to order any personalised baubles please email me with the details. I do only have a limited amount and I need all orders by Sunday 8th so I can get them painted and personalised next week so they are with you in plenty of time for Christmas!
