🎉 Exciting news! Ballyrags Comedy Club has found a new home – right here at The Royal Esplanade Hotel 🙌

When we heard about the sad closure of FU Bar up the road, we were eager to step in and give the Ballyrags crew a stage to keep the laughs rolling. With our warm, spacious events room, fully stocked bar, and tasty hot snacks menu, we think it’s the perfect spot for a great night out.

Their first show with us is on Thursday 16th October – headlined by the brilliant Pat Smith and hosted by the fantastic Luke Lamont-Debonair Deceptions. This is one comedy night you won’t want to miss!

Feeling like Harry Houdini, Looking like Harry Hill!

This was a photo from a great party at Seaview Yacht club .iow towards the end of the summer! Yes, summer has come to an end and if you are part reptile like myself you are probably missing those summer days and evenings! However! The parties don't stop just because the sun has gone away. We've still got Halloween, Christmas and NYE! So if you are planning your Christmas works party or you just want to see a bald guy do some Magic then get in touch! It's been a while since I've posted on here! I have some catching up to do! It's been a crazy busy summer for myself and for Shuffles Events

So let's kick things off by saying a big thank you to for asking me to host this year! It's an event that has been running for well over a hundred years and one I used to love going to as a kid with my family! So much work went into it from mostly volunteers not to mention the incredible staging and sound from Showmen Events Group

There was so much to see and do, races for all ages, competitions, vendors, pirates, fairies, Magic, circus from Wild Woods Workshops. Jolly japery from Ballyrags Comedy Club live music from Fusion Party band and not to mention the incredible fireworks finale!

I had no time to take any photos and this was the only one I got. I can't remember why I'm pulling this face. I'm going with a look of awe and wonder at how good the day was!

What was all that rain about last night?? Madness! Take me back to days like this please! Magicing around the lawn of Barton Manor! Grace and Ozzy were the lovely couple getting married that day and they hired me to come and wow their guests at the welcome drinks!

This Magic moment was captured by of me showing my two new fans some Magic! These kids were hilarious! This is what I love about magic, people of any age can enjoy it!

I had the best time playing Detective "Lock Em' Up" Larry Becker on behalf of my old friends at Interrupt the Routine for a Murder Mystery at The Seaview Hotel! Just an NYPD Detective trying to unwind with his wife on the beautiful isle of wight only for murder most horrid to occur!

Magic, But not as you know it

My Name is Luke Lamont and for the last 20 or so years I have been a Magician. In that time I have noticed that a lot of people assume Magic must just be for children, when in actual fact I think its the total opposite. Children live in an ever changing world of wonder, finding new things and experiences round every corner. As adults, we don’t really have that luxury, we all have bills to pay, things to do and ever shrinking capacity for wonder to be found in our day to day lives, our imagination becomes cluttered with reality. This is Why I think Magic, The Deceptive Arts and performance is SO important to ADULTS. Magic takes the world around us, that we all agree is fact and then begins to bend our understading of those facts and our understading of reality. The impossible is made possible just for a moment, for us all to enjoy. It is my mission to share that Joy with the masses, through Magical experiences and performances, to provide people with a new type of Magician and a form of Magic specifically for them.
