A little glimpse of what we’ve been up to lately…

Sorry for the silence over here, we’ve been far too busy soaking up the sunshine and making the most of time with the littles, before they’re not so little anymore!

We’ve squeezed so much into this summer, in between all the flowers, including a beautiful wedding elopement for one very special family. It was such a happy, intimate celebration, and we feel incredibly lucky to have played even a small part in their day.

It’s been a full and wonderful summer, and as much as we’ve loved every minute, I think we’re all feeling ready for the next season now.

Here’s to crisp mornings, cosy days and a little change of pace.

A little quiet over here on the socials… but very much not quiet behind the scenes!

Sometimes it’s good to take a natural break and immerse ourselves in the present and so far this month that’s meant sunshine, beach trips, camping, football tournaments and lots ice creams with of course plenty of flowers in between.

It’s been a beautiful juggle of flowers, children and long sunny days, and I’ve been making the most of it.

So while I may have been a little quiet on here, the studio has certainly been keeping me busy. And honestly, I’m rather enjoying this slower summer rhythm.

Here’s to the sunshine, flowers and making the most of the moments little in between.

The first week of the summer holidays has certainly been keeping us on our toes!

We’ve been up early each morning delivering beautiful flowers and funeral florals, then trying to make the most of the afternoons with trips to the beach to keep the children entertained. It’s a bit of a juggling act balancing work and family life, but I’m so grateful that I get to do both.

I also just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the lovely comments on our previous post celebrating our 20th birthday. Reading your memories and kind words has been so special. It really has felt like a little trip down memory lane, and it’s reminded me just how lucky I am to do a job I genuinely love, surrounded by such wonderful customers who’ve supported us over the years.

To all the parents juggling work and the summer holidays... how’s your first week been so far? Have you managed to find your rhythm yet, or are you just taking it one day at a time? Any tips to keep to keep a pre-teen entertained would be greatly appreciated!

Our Weekly Wrap Up

Last week was a busy one - not just on the flower front, but personally too.

My oldest is starting high school in September, so there have been so many extra activities as they get ready to finish primary school. It’s such an exciting milestone, and I don’t want to miss a thing, but the juggle is definitely real!

In between creating beautiful flowers, I’m making sure to soak up these special moments. Time really does fly, and I’m trying to enjoy every last bit of this chapter before the next adventure begins.

This week we’ve got a beautiful wedding to decorate with all the wild and whimsy flowers this season has to offer, can’t wait to show you!

Our Weekly Wrap Up

A week of sunshine, flowers & staying hydrated!

The last week has been full of sunshine, flowers, and a lot of hydration all round. To be honest, it’s been a little too hot to stop and take many photos - most of our attention has gone into keeping the flowers looking their freshest and getting them delivered to their new homes as quickly as possible (so not many photos to share this week, sorry!).

We had a request for sunflowers in one of our bouquets, and it ended up inspiring the whole week. We found ourselves adding sunflower yellows and soft blues throughout our Florist’s Choice bouquets, and we’ve absolutely loved the cheerful, summery combination.

This time last week, our Island was buzzing with sunshine, music and festival magic at the Isle of Wight Festival .

We were thrilled to be asked once again to create the floral displays for the Main Stage dressing rooms.
Each vase was packed with the very best of the season’s blooms, including the last of our beautiful peonies for this year (we’re not crying, you are!).
We hope the artists enjoyed the flowers as much as we enjoyed creating them, and that everyone had an incredible festival weekend! Did you make it to the festival this year? Who was your favourite act, or were you there to just soak up the atmosphere?

A huge thank you to the team for inviting us back - it’s always a pleasure to be part of such a special event.

Is anyone else feeling a little wilted in this heat?

While the UK is busy pretending it’s the Mediterranean, we’re keeping cool in our lovely north-facing old barn - where we’re still reaching for layers, even in summer!

The good news is that our flowers are loving it. They’re staying nice and fresh away from the heat, ready to brighten up your home.

Once your blooms arrive, here are our top tips for keeping them looking their best:

•. Give the stems a fresh trim before popping them in a vase
• Fill your vase with cool, fresh water
•Add the flower food provided
•Keep them somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight and radiators
•Refresh the water daily and give the stems a little trim every few days.

A little extra care goes a long way and will help you enjoy your flowers for as long as possible!

Now, if only someone could pop us in a cool vase with a sachet of flower food…
