I’m really looking forward to bringing our Christmas wreath workshop to the newly restored Brookhouse Mill this year. 🎄🌿

Join me for a relaxed evening of wreath making, where I’ll guide you through creating your own Christmas wreath using a twisted willow base, fresh local foliage, dried flowers, grasses, seed pods and seasonal textures.

Everything you need is provided, including your wreath base, foliage, dried materials and all the tools. You’ll also enjoy a mince pie and your choice of mulled w**e or a hot drink. 🍷🥧☕️

A lovely way to spend a festive evening, whether you come with friends or fancy learning something new and making your own wreath from scratch.

Grow Your Own Cut Flowers — Two-Day Course

We’ve been hosting this course for the past two years and have had such fantastic feedback. Next year, we’re incredibly excited to be moving to Lima Gardens Wales , the working heart of the Foelas Estate in Betws-y-coed.

If you’d love to learn how to grow your own beautiful, organic flowers in a truly sustainable cutting garden, then this could be the course for you.

Led by Ellen Firth — Flower Farmer & Florist and Jenny Hunt — Head Gardener, Florist & Garden Designer, this two-day course will take you through the whole journey of growing your own cutting garden.

You’ll learn how to:

- Grow flowers from seed
- Create and nurture a sustainable cutting garden
- Harvest and condition your flowers
- Arrange your own home-grown flowers
- Grow in a way that supports wildlife and works with nature

And you won’t be left to figure it all out on your own.

There are only 10 spaces on the course, giving you plenty of personal support throughout. You’ll receive your own course manual and have access to a WhatsApp support group, so you can keep asking questions and sharing your progress long after the course has finished.

Everything you need for the course is provided, including seeds, bulbs, compost and tools. And, as a special keepsake, you’ll also receive a beautiful hand-thrown Anvil Pottery bowl which you’ll use to create your flower arrangement on the final day.

This course is about so much more than growing flowers. It’s about learning a skill you can enjoy for years to come, saving money on cut flowers, creating a beautiful haven for wildlife, filling your garden with colour and your home with the scent of fresh flowers — and hopefully making some lovely new friends along the way.

I’m so excited to be joining The Dreamatorium this Christmas for a relaxed, hands-on afternoon of wreath making.

Come and create your own beautiful, natural Christmas wreath using fresh local foliage, dried flowers, grasses, seed pods and festive textures. I’ll share tips from my Ruthin flower farm along the way, including how we grow and dry flowers and how to create a long-lasting wreath.

All tools and materials, delicious seasonal pastries from Surdeig and hot drinks included 🎄🥐☕️

Jenny and I had such a fantastic time on our autumn photo shoot with Alex Morgan Photography at Lima Gardens Wales . 🍂🌸

Alex is the type of photographer who not only knows her craft inside out, but also makes you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. I often forgot she was even there!

Set within the historic Foelas Estate, this place really is a magical wonderland for a flower grower.

The gardens were originally used mainly to feed the family who live on the estate — a family who are incredibly passionate about rewilding, nurturing the soil, no-dig growing methods, and nourishing their family with home-grown, organic fruit and vegetables.

As time has gone on, Jenny, Head Gardener, began working with the owners of the house and estate, to develop Lima Gardens. With the children now grown, they wanted to make use of a garden that was becoming less used, growing beautiful flowers for the house while also opening the space up to welcome people for community events.

Jenny and I have been working together on some exciting collaborative events to be held in this wonderful place, and our first two dates for next year are already listed!

Ben & Bethan's day was a beautiful blend of cottage garden romance, handmade charm and modern elegance. Soft butter-yellow satin dresses paired with simple white bouquets, while flowers freshly picked from our June flower field brought colour, texture and movement to every corner of the day.

There were handmade bunting garlands, jam jars, milk churns, thoughtful details at every turn... and, of course, the lemons. We're still not entirely sure where the lemon theme came from, but tucked amongst the flowers they brought such a joyful splash of colour and suited the day perfectly.

One of our favourite parts of what we do is getting to know our couples throughout the planning process. With every consultation we learn a little more about their personalities, their ideas and the atmosphere they want to create. Seeing all of those details come together on the day is always special, but particularly when a wedding feels as personal and unique as this one.

From Bethan's stunning dress and incredible veil to the mix of elegant simplicity and abundant seasonal flowers, every detail felt unmistakably theirs.

We've loved looking back through these photos and reliving such a beautiful day. These are just a handful of informal snapshots for now, but the couple have promised to share some of their professional photographs when they get them back and we can't wait to see them. Watch this space! 🤍🍋
