There’s something about handheld footage that just hits different…

I was watching some old clips of my dad filming me as a baby, sat in a bouncer - almost the exact same way I was filming my dad with my baby girl last week (I'm 4 months older in the video).

Picking up the camera and getting it into focus. Same kind of laughter. Same kind of love. Just a different generation holding the camera.

It feels so special to watch, and I wanted to share it to highlight the beauty in those little moments - the ones that don’t feel like anything big at the time, but somehow become everything later.

When I film your wedding day, I’m not searching for perfectly posed shots. I’m looking for the quiet, unplanned, handheld moments - when no one is performing, when no one realises just how much it will mean one day.

Catherine & Aron’s Highlight Film - 18.10.25

Catherine and Aron created a day that was deeply personal, intentionally intimate, and shared with the people who matter most to them. From our very first consultation call, they spoke about how every single guest held meaning in their lives - and that intention was felt in every moment of the day.

Their ceremony included a Celtic-inspired ribbon ritual, handfasting, a tradition with roots in ancient Celtic culture where ribbons or cords are used to symbolically bind two lives together. For Catherine and Aron, it was a moment that wove their love together with the voices, laughter, and presence of their people. Capturing the audio from this ritual was so essential, and you can see a snippet of this audio within their highlight film.

The day itself was filled with unapologetic laughter, love, l togetherness and a lot of… ribbons! I always try to include the voices of the people who mean the most in a wedding film, and the handfasting ritual did exactly that. A timeless, heartfelt way to remember not just the day, but everyone who stood beside them.

The reason it’s been quiet over here 🥹❤️

Our dreams came true on January 8, 2026. Our 7lb 7oz of perfection, and already the greatest love we’ve ever known.

We’re learning life as a family of three - less sleep but more love than we ever imagined.

I remember this moment so clearly. I remember why I was smiling. It was because I was filming Nicola & Liv sharing their private vows - right after seeing each other for the first time in their stunning dresses.

It felt like such an honour to be there, capturing words filled with trust, vulnerability, respect, and so much love. These raw, unfiltered moments are why I do what I do - so they can hold onto them forever.

Honestly, I almost didn’t post this because I didn’t feel great about how I looked… but the way I felt in this moment means more, so it’a got a place on the feed.

Being fully present on your special day allows me to create films that truly tell your story - I see every emotion, detail, your reactions to words and people who mean the most to you. I notice the little things so I can craft cinematic, storytelling footage that lets you relive your day over and over again. 🎥💫
