Real Life Wedding | Grace & Mike 💛

Grace & Mike celebrated their gorgeous Summer wedding with us at South Farm last July – and what a day it was! From their intimate outdoor ceremony in the Summer House to relaxed sunset drinks on the Terrace with live saxophone music, their wedding day was a fabulous blend of fun laid-back vibes and lots of personal touches.

With bold pops of pink, red and orange, dreamy wildflower backdrops and so many heartfelt moments with their nearest and dearest, their day was nothing short of unforgettable (just take a peek at their stunning photos). Wildflower Meadows at South Farm 🐝🌼🌿

With the official start of summer just around the corner, we’re getting seriously excited for the season ahead and our wildflower meadows are putting on the most beautiful show right now! These vibrant blooms are at their peak, creating picture-perfect backdrops for wedding photos and not to forget attracting a wonderful variety of local wildlife…just take a peek at some of these gorgeous wildflower backdrops at the Farm…📸

But behind the scenes a lot of work goes into keeping these meadows looking their best. Our brilliant Garden Team carefully manage the space each year, controlling the vigorous grasses that thrive in our rich soil and can overpower more delicate wildflowers.

Wildflower Top Tip: So, the trick is…refrain from applying any fertiliser or compost and annually crop and remove the flower-rich hay to deplete the soil’s nutrients which helps our wonderful wildflowers flourish!

Following these simple and eco-friendly steps will ensure that our wildflowers flourish year after year, benefiting our wildlife and of course provide our lovely couples with gorgeous natural backdrops for your wedding day! 🌸🌿

Real Life Wedding | Carla & Ross ✨

Carla and Ross fell in love with South Farm the moment they arrived and knew instantly it was perfect for their countryside wedding in Hertfordshire — in fact, it was the only one they visited. The homely atmosphere, our attentive staff, and locally-sourced food sealed the deal. Their wedding day was flawlessly managed, with special thanks to Michelle, who helped them feel completely at ease. From the delicious food to the stunning setting, everything was beautifully executed. Their nerves melted away on arrival, and they were able to fully enjoy a day they described as perfect in every way.
