Just call me Bob! 💙 & Bob is asking for your help!!!
The workshop is slowly turning into a prop-making factory again!
Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing updates as I build this year's display for Royston in Blue, and I honestly couldn't be more excited. Every year I support this event in one way or another, but this year I'm creating bigger, stronger, longer-lasting props from scratch that can hopefully be used year after year.
What many people probably don't realise is that creating for Royston in Blue is actually my downtime. Between running a business, client orders, installations and everyday life, sitting down and building these props is my escape. I genuinely find it relaxing, and it's one of my favourite projects of the entire year.
Of course there will be balloons involved (would you expect anything else? 😂), but my goal isn't to create something covered in my branding. You might spot a small sign with my logo and social media details so people can tag themselves in photos, but that's about it.
This display isn't about me.
It's about helping to create something eye-catching that gets people talking, taking photos, sharing posts, signing up for the event and, most importantly, raising money and awareness for two incredible causes: Royston in Blue and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
So I'm asking for your help.
Over the next month, as I share progress updates, please like, comment, share and repost them wherever you can. The more people who see them, the more awareness we can generate for the event, the charity and the amazing work they do.
I've always believed that the moment belongs to the people I'm creating for. It's the same with my clients — I never rush to post photos of their celebrations. I want them to enjoy their special moment first. Their memories come before my marketing every single time.
And that's exactly how I feel about Royston in Blue.
If together we can help get more eyes on the event, encourage more sign-ups and generate more donations, then every hour spent building these props will have been worth it.
Now... back to making another mess in the workshop! 💙🎈
Ive added a couple of photos (that are far from finished) of some bits that i have started.
I can not wait for my vision to come to life and see you all at the event 💙
