This Week’s Grazing Box

We’ve got some seriously special additions in this week’s box including two new cheeses making their debuts into our Grazing boxes

🟡 Isle of Mull – A punchy, full-flavoured cheddar from Scotland with a boozy twist! Made with milk from cows fed on whisky distillery mash, it’s bold, tangy, and just the right amount of rugged. A real character!

🔵 Strathdon Blue – Brand new in the counter this wee, this creamy blue beauty from the Highlands is rich and mellow with just enough bite to make it interesting. Think Stilton’s charming Scottish alternative – salty, smooth, savoury, and oh-so-spreadable.

⚪ Délice de Créma – A more indulgent version of the very popular Delice de Bourgogne. Delice de Crema has cream added to the cheesemaking process instead of crème fraiche. This makes for an ultra indulgent and triple cream French cheese that is pure decadence. Silky, buttery, and cloud-like – it’s basically dessert in cheese form.

All of the above come with cured meats, fresh fruits, antipasti, nuts and crackers.

Our Hero, Annabel!

If you’ve ever stepped into our shop on a Saturday, chances are you’ve had the absolute joy of meeting Annabel and her wonderful parents, Caroline and James. And if you think you love cheese, trust us—Annabel takes it to a whole new level. The stronger and the stinkier, the better!

This is why we were so happy to hear that Annabel has been named the Child of Courage in the Heart of Hertfordshire Hero Awards 2025! This incredible young lady has a mischievous smile, a wicked sense of humour, and a spirit that brightens up every corner of our shop (even the particularly smelly ones).

Annabel, you are and always will be our hero. We are so lucky to know you, and we send all our love to you, Caroline, James, Ollie and of course the pawsome Lidia.

IT help needed....

I did an upgrade on Wednesday night and since then I can't log onto my laptop.

Don't ask me what upgrade it was.... It was late, I was tired as I'd spent the evening working on a presentation that I obviously can't access 😩

Can anyone help?

I've been in Ireland for a few days with zero internet connection.

Catching up on emails in the departure lounge at Kerry airport and having my (would you believe it) first alcoholic drink since arriving....

This Week’s Grazing Boxes

We’ve pulled out all the stops this week, bringing you three incredible cheeses alongside some top-tier accompaniments. Let’s dive in:

Westcombe Cheddar – This is cheddar as it should be—handmade in Somerset using raw cow’s milk. It’s buttery, slightly tangy, and packed with deep umami notes. Think classic farmhouse cheddar but with extra character—like the friend who tells the best stories and always brings the best snacks.

Colston Bassett Shropshire Blue – The smooth charmer of the bunch. Even blue cheese skeptics fall head over heels for this one! Perfectly balanced between sweet and salty, it’s got just enough attitude to keep things interesting, but it won’t scare you off.

Single Gloucester – The laid-back, easygoing bestie of the trio. Light, buttery, and effortlessly delicious. A cheese that doesn’t demand attention—it just wins you over with every bite.

And because a great grazing box deserves the best extras, we’ve included:
A selection of cured meats
Fresh fruits, antipasti, almonds, and walnuts
Charcoal squares—because the best cheese deserves the best crackers
Deliciously juicy yellow tomatoes and sweet, ripe figs from our friend's our fantastic local butchers who also stock some of the finest fruit and veg around.

Pre-orders are open now—get yours before they’re gone!

This week's Honest Fig grazing boxes are extra special – they’re a tribute to cheeses that have been saved. Get ready to indulge in some legendary flavours, each with a fascinating backstory.

Kit Calvert Wensleydale - named after the incredible Kit Calvert, who saved the Wensleydale Creamery from closure back in 1935. Fun fact: We had a customer in the shop today who knew Kit personally and shared some AMAZING stories about him!

Sparkenhoe Red Leicester - This cheese was revived by David and Jo Clarke in 2005, after Red Leicester in its raw milk, clothbound form was extinct for 50 years! If you love rich, tangy flavors, this one's a must-try.

Colston Bassett Shropshire Blue - Originally created in Scotland in the '70s, Shropshire Blue was a near-forgotten gem until saved by the team at Colston Bassett.

As well as these cheeses, that represent not only delicious flavours but the stories of dedication and hard work that helped preserve them, there are also cured meats, antipasti, nuts and fresh fruits in our grazing boxes and all for only £5.

New Cheese Alert - Let me introduce you to Bibury – Our New Seasonal Sheep’s Milk Cheese!

From the makers of Ashcombe, Yarlington, Rollright and Burford (more on this beauty shortly), King Stone Dairy proudly presents Bibury – a rich, semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese. Many of the sheep whose milk goes into Bibury were part of the original herd at Ram Hall, where Berkswell was made until 2023. Typically aged for between 3-5 months this particular batch from Neals Yard Dairy has been matured for approximately 6 months which intensifies the flavours of meadow flowers, hay and hazelnut, with a smooth, fondant-like texture.

Bibury is a seasonal cheese and will be available from mid Summer through to late Winter so get it while you can.

p.s. Bibury is making a special appearance in this weeks grazing boxes
