CHEESY THURSDAY COULD BE A THING??

I'm still playing around with our late-night openings to see what works best.

This week I'm going to stay open until 8pm on Thursday and Friday

So… Thursday is officially CHEESY THURSDAY and if you want it to be a regular thing you know what to do....

Come and grab a cheese board, a glass (or bottle) of w**e, a cold Baron Brewing b**r and make the most of the autumn sunshine in the courtyard.

p.s. it's not just limited to late night opening.....we also serve food and w**e from 12pm every day we're open, so a perfect lunch time option...

The sun is still shining which means we are open until 8pm today, Friday 25th September.

A non cheese related post from me but it is very much food related.

Chris gifted me a mushroom foraging experience at River Cottage for Christmas (the chances of me 'accidentally' poisoning him have now drastically reduced).

In all seriousness though, this was such a brilliant experience. Not only was it a day spent with great people and an inspiring mushroom foraging tutor Nick from Grown Up Mushrooms. It was also very thought provoking, which is the biggest thing I've taken away from the day.

To top the experience off we had lunch and a cooking demo from the head chef Dominik Moldenhauer..... Of course using produce from River Cottage gardens, mushrooms that we foraged and locally sourced duck.

My camera roll will now consist mostly of photos of cheese, Riley the dog and wild mushrooms.

September's offering from Baron Brewing have arrived in store and they are, as always, bloody delicious

This gluten free (below 20ppm) UK pilsner is a unique b**r made with only local ingredients. It’s got local Norfolk Maris Otter grain and Kentish Harlequin hops. Super crisp with plenty of bitterness and evident Harlequin snap.

A 3.4% session strength hazy pale with Citra, Krush and Enigma. Really powerful for its weight. It was made with a thiol boosting yeast, which means even more flavour unlocked during fermentation.
