Do you remember the Leamington Flower Show in the 1950s or 60s — or have you heard stories about it from parents or grandparents?

With roots going back to the mid 1800s, it became a much-loved part of the town’s life — drawing crowds to places like Jephson Gardens, Victoria Park and the Pump Room — but very little of that story has been captured.

We’re starting to gather memories to see if there’s a bigger story to tell.

📢 Leamington – come and help shape Royal Leamington Spa Town Council's Town of Culture bid

If you care about Leamington and the role culture plays in shaping where we live, work and connect, we’d love to see you this evening.

We’re at Lillington Community Centre until 8pm for an open drop-in conversation about Town Council’s Town of Culture 2028 bid.

This isn’t a finished plan.
It isn’t a presentation.
It’s a conversation.

What makes Leamington special?
What stories aren’t being told?
What would you love to see happen here?

Whether you’re part of the arts sector, a volunteer, run a local business, are active in your community, or simply have views about where the town is heading, your voice matters.

There’s tea. There are biscuits. And there’s time to talk.

🎬 Kicking off the New Year with some great news!

We're absolutely delighted that our Switched On Stories: The Lights of Leamington film is being showcased as part of Leamington’s brand new Filmmakers’ Showcase – a celebration of locally made films and creative voices from across South Warwickshire.

It’s a real honour to see our documentary, made by Playview Productions featured alongside other brilliant Leamington-made productions. If you’d like to see it on the big screen on Monday 9 February, free tickets are now available for the screening at the Royal Spa Centre. Hope to see you there!

From the Lights of Leamington: Switched On Stories amazing oral history project to our biggest-ever Leamington Christmas Tree Festival, 2025 has been full of sparkle, stories and community magic.

💡 We're delighted to be featured by the National Lottery Heritage Fund!

We were asked to take part in their recent Grantee Q&A, reflecting on our Switched On Stories project and the legacy of the Lights of Leamington.

It was a chance to share what we’ve learned about community heritage, storytelling, and the power of light to connect generations. Huge thanks to the National Heritage Lottery Fund team for their support throughout the project — and for spotlighting the work of Whittle Productions!
