🚜🐮 JUNE UPDATE FROM ISLE OF BUTE FOLD 🐮🚜
Just a little update for all our lovely followers — due to work commitments and a very busy show month for us and the coos, we’ll only have limited Highland Cow Encounter spaces available throughout June. We will still try our very best to accommodate everyone where we can. 💛

Show season has started off with a bang and we’re so proud to say our beautiful 3-year-old heifer took Highland Champion at her latest show! 🏆 🐮 What an amazing start to the season for the fold.

We’ll also be away supporting the Royal Highland Show, the largest agricultural show in Scotland, where our very own Cuailean 4th of Isle of Bute will be returning to the ring 🤞🏆

Don’t worry though — we’ll have plenty of encounters running throughout the summer holidays and we can’t wait to welcome you all back to the farm for cuddles, grooming, photos and walks with the coos. ☀️📸

Our Highland Cow Encounters are a booking only event, please do not turn up to the farm without prior booking and confirmation from our team 🐮

We have cows in the fields near the farm you are more than welcome to view from the road side ( please do not enter fields for safety, we have cows calving)

We’re excited to share our available dates for May:

Spaces are limited and filling up quickly, so be sure to get booked in if you’d love to spend some time with our wonderful coos! 💛

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited us since we opened in February. The support has been incredible, and it’s been such a joy meeting so many of you – you’ve truly made our opening months so special (and very busy!). 🙌
After a fantastic start to the year, we’ll be taking a well-earned week off for a short holiday. During this time, messages may be replied to a little slower than usual – thanks so much for your patience.

Little Grenach Farm is a private, working family farm. It is NOT open to the public, and under no circumstances should anyone turn up without prior arrangement.

If you wish to see the Highland cows, this is only possible by booking an official Highland Coo Encounter through ourselves at Bute Fold Coo Encounters.

❌ No walk-ins
❌ No unauthorised access
❌ Do not enter farm property at any time without prior arrangement

We currently have cows calving. These animals are extremely protective and pose a serious risk of injury to anyone entering their space. Turning up unannounced is not only unsafe, but it is irresponsible and will not be tolerated.
Anyone ignoring this notice will be asked to leave immediately.

This is for your safety, the safety of our animals, and the wellbeing of our family.

Important Message for all our Highland Cow lovers 🐮 💛

📢IMPORTANT MESSAGE📢

We are receiving a huge number of concerns from members who have witnessed members of the public & tourists jump into farmers fields, take selfies with cattle, and even sit on the cattle.

Highland cattle might look gentle, but they’re powerful animals — and especially protective when calving or when young calves are on the ground.

Please don’t enter farmers’ fields or approach them for selfies, they are not selfie props.

It puts you at risk and causes stress to the cattle, particularly mothers who will defend their calves without hesitation.

If you want a close up experience, visit an organised Highland cattle event run by experienced breeders where safety and welfare come first.

It’s a GIRL! 🎀🐮

Our newest little coo made a slightly early entrance today, and we couldn’t be happier 💛

Mum and calf are both doing great, and this fluffy wee lady is already the star of the farm here at Isle of Bute Fold Coo Encounters ✨
