Every week is completely different.

One day I might be creating a wedding cake covered in sugar flowers, the next I’m delivering a corporate lunch, setting up a grazing table, catering for a celebration of life, teaching a room full of people how to pipe buttercream flowers, or preparing hundreds of portions of homemade food for a special event.

✨ A Little Thought About Cake Decorating Classes ✨

One thing that has always been important to me is authenticity.

Every floral cupcake, bouquet and cake you see on my page has been made by me, photographed by me and taught by me. What you see is exactly what my customers and students receive.

In a world where AI-generated images are becoming more common, I think it’s more important than ever to show real work, real skills and real results.

The flowers I teach in my classes aren’t computer generated or stock images. They’re the same techniques I’ve spent years developing and refining, and the same ones you’ll learn to create yourself.

Every photo on this page represents real cakes, real buttercream, real students and real customers.

When I announce new class dates, you’ll always be able to see exactly what you’ll be making because I’ll be showing you my own work, not a digital interpretation of it.

I don’t often stop and look at the numbers, because I’m usually too busy cooking, baking, piping cupcakes, planning menus, shopping, washing up or loading the car for the next event!

But today I noticed that Caption Catering has now reached 365 reviews with a 100% recommendation rate and honestly, that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. 💛

Every single review has come from a real customer who trusted me with something important to them; a wedding, a celebration, a funeral, a corporate event, an afternoon tea, a birthday cake or a box of floral cupcakes.

🌸 Flowers that can be eaten are always a good idea… 🌸

This beautiful 30 cupcake bouquet left the kitchen today, made up of hand-piped buttercream roses, David Austin Roses, stocks and blossom flowers, all carefully arranged to create a stunning edible centrepiece.

I love creating these bouquets. Every flower starts as a simple cupcake before being transformed, petal by petal, into something that looks almost too pretty to eat.

Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, retirement, thank you gift or simply to make someone smile, a cupcake bouquet creates that special moment when the lid is lifted and the recipient realises it’s not flowers at all… it’s cake!

Beautiful to look at.

Apparently my life revolves around food… even when I’m not feeding people! 😂

Our little girl hasn’t been herself this past week and has been completely off her food, which is always worrying when they’re older.

So, naturally, I headed into the kitchen and made her some tasty little homemade chicken meatballs to see if I could tempt her appetite back.

I’m pleased to report they worked an absolute treat! 🐾❤️

At 13½ years old she’s earned the right to be thoroughly spoilt, and if a batch of homemade chicken meatballs helps put a wag back in her tail, then that’s exactly what she’ll get.

Safe to say she’s a very happy girl today and is now demanding them on a regular basis! 🐶

Who else cooks specially for their dogs? Or is it just me? 😂

Today’s funeral tea at Upleadon Village Hall ❤️

Providing catering for a funeral or celebration of life is always a privilege. At what can be a difficult time for families, our aim is simply to take one thing off their shoulders and provide a warm, welcoming spread for family and friends to gather together.

Today’s buffet included a selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, quiche, savoury bites, freshly baked scones with cream and strawberry jam, homemade cakes and traybakes, all served alongside unlimited tea and coffee and a prosecco toast.

Everything is prepared fresh using quality ingredients and presented with the same care and attention to detail that goes into every Caption Catering event.

Thank you to the family for trusting us to be part of such an important day.

A buffet should be more than just a table full of food.

For me, it’s about creating something that looks beautiful, feels special and, most importantly, tastes absolutely delicious.

Every buffet and grazing table I create is filled with fresh, homemade food made from quality ingredients. Alongside the traditional favourites that guests know and love, you’ll find my signature handmade canapés, homemade quiches, savoury tarts, speciality salads, fresh breads, homemade desserts and all those little details that make a buffet feel that bit more special.

I love combining the relaxed, generous feel of a traditional buffet with the creativity and presentation of a grazing table. Beautifully styled displays, edible flowers, fresh fruit, carefully chosen garnishes and food that is designed to be enjoyed with your eyes first and then devoured!

Nothing comes out of a packet and gets tipped onto a plate. Every element is carefully prepared, baked, assembled and presented by hand, using recipes I’ve spent years developing and refining.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, celebration, corporate event, family gathering or celebration of life, my aim is always the same:
