Inclusive language isn’t just about the couple, although that's the focus, it’s about every person in the room feeling seen, welcomed and part of the celebration.

You won’t hear me say “you may kiss your bride,” “ladies and gentlemen,” or other assumptions that don’t fit every love story. Small shifts in language create space for everyone, and that’s something worth celebrating. ❤️🩷

Plot twist. Becoming a celebrant also meant gaining a whole local network of amazing wedding people.

Gorgeous, glorious and grounding (with the forest surround) wedding fair at hosted by last weekend.

I had such fabulous conversations with fellow amazing and talented suppliers and it was also great to meet people in person that we so regularly connect with online...

Big topics came up with couples I spoke to "we didn't even know a celebrant was a thing", as well as "the venue we chose told us to book our registrar straight away to secure the date".

Navigating this is a challenge, but an important one as so many couples left the fair so inspired to plan personal and inclusive ceremonies, leaving me SO excited too! So, now it's to continue to work with our amazing venues to begin reframing the booking conversation. Maybe if the conversation started with something like "have you thought about who's conducting your ceremony?" could really help couples discover the possibilities of celebrant-led ceremonies for themselves at the point of booking their wedding venue.

On that note... to all the fab couples I've connected with, don't forget your bespoke "The Glade" offer...

2028 booking in the diary!

S & K have been together a long time, and they’re not interested in doing things just because “that’s how it’s done.” They want a ceremony that actually reflects them, relaxed, a bit playful, and full of the details that matter to their life together already. I just love that I came to mind when they thought about choosing a celebrant-led wedding.
What. An. Honour.

That’s exactly why they’ve chosen a celebrant ceremony. It gives them the space to 'be themselves', have it feel personal without squeezing them into a day that wasn't created by them.

We’ve got plenty of time, which means we can be thoughtful with their ceremony and day.

I am SO looking forward to seeing this one take shape. This is another out of area venue, and I blooming love getting to visit some stunning venues!
