From the moment we first met David, it was clear that everyone at the venue genuinely cares-not just about the details, but about the day itself-guiding it with a calm confidence that lets you and your guests enjoy every moment.
In the lead-up, that care showed itself time and again. No question was ever too small (and we had plenty), and every email was met with a thoughtful, timely response. There was a genuine sense of being known and remembered-not just as another booking, but as a couple whose day truly mattered. Every visit felt personal, warm, and reassuring.
What really sets The Lawn apart is their flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile. Whether it was arranging a PA system just days before the wedding, adapting menu options to suit us, or working through more specific requests with openness and fairness, nothing ever felt like a problem-only something to be solved together.
On the day itself, everything unfolded smoothly, and without a single moment of stress. Michael (our wedding coordinator), was exceptional: attentive without ever being intrusive, always one step ahead, and completely in tune with the rhythm of the day. He helped bring so many of our ideas to life, from preparing custom cocktails to ensuring the drinks reception felt just right, even making thoughtful, instinctive decisions that elevated the experience for our guests.
The food and drink were equally brilliant. The canapés were a huge hit, and guests were constantly well looked after-glasses never empty, everything flowing exactly as it should. The evening food was a particular highlight, served in a way that kept everyone mingling and dancing, and it was clear how much thought had gone into making the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
Throughout the entire day, the team worked quietly in the background with a kind of quiet warmth—always present, never intrusive-ensuring everything ran perfectly. The room transitions, the attention to detail, and the overall flow of the day were flawless, allowing us (and our guests) to simply be present and enjoy it all.
