Elated to announce our latest partnership with .boarddaynursery We will be here twice a week teaching in both rooms. Monday in the 2-5 room and Wednesdays in the 0-2 room. A fantastic family run business who share the same values, it’s a huge bucket list achievement to have our Wiggle and Jiggle classes here!

Our next piece of amazing news is our new class leader Emma! I have known Emma for a number of years and she is also a qualified teacher. She’s got extensive Early Years Expeirence and she’s just amazing! I’m so glad she’s finally joined the Mini wAVe Team. She will be working Thursdays and Fridays in our nurseries. Here is a little about Emma in her own words.

Hi, I’m Emma! I’ve been working with children for the past 13 years, 9 of those as a qualified teacher. Early years has always been where my heart is - I love watching little ones explore, experiment, get messy, and learn through play. I truly believe children should be free to enjoy the process, not just the end result - that’s where the real magic happens!

I’m so excited to be joining the Mini wAVe team and getting stuck in. I’ve experienced first hand how exposure to music is a powerful way for children to communicate and help build strong, trusting relationships between other children and adults, as well as being lots of fun!

This new adventure also gives me the chance to spend more time with my own four children (who definitely keep me busy!) while continuing to do what I love. I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful children who’ll be joining me on this exciting journey!

Absolutely thrilled to announce our new partnership with The Hospital Day Nursery, Sidcup! We will be there every Friday morning term time in all of their rooms! We’ve already had a summer special and the children and practitioners are just wonderful! See you all soon! The Hospital Day Nursery

GOODBYE BEXLEY- on Thursday, I emptied the last of our playgroup items from Bexley. A mixture of emotions, one being “wow we have a looooot of stuff”, excited for something new and sadness that it’s over. It’s not the end for community classes forever, but it’s the end of an era here at Bexley. I cannot begin to thank the customers that have come over the past 5 and a half years. Many are lifelong friends now too. It helped me being a new mum, and I even brought a new baby into the world during it! I know it meant so much to so many people including me, but it was time…I don’t even know what to say other than…thank you for the memories; from Christmas parties, to specials, Easter bunnies and just week to week madness. I’ll treasure that time forever. Keep supporting Mini wAVe and we’ll be back with some exciting community announcements in September. ❤️

Good evening and all of the team! My name is Gemma and I’m the owner and Managing Director of

I started my business in 2019 after having my first baby and feeling very isolated and anxious. I found a gap in the market for an educational playgroup where they were set up like an early years classroom so that people could socialise as well as their children playing while hitting early learning milestones. Being an early years and primary teacher myself, I felt I could really thrive in this field! It did so much for my own mental well-being and many parents have said this playgroup changed their life and still does! Fast forward 5 years and I now have a small team who continue to make me proud every day.

We branched out into other educational community classes using my teaching background to plan unique lessons and now run a nature school, story and art classes, exploratory play and music and movement! Further to this, we have brought these classes into educational nursery settings and care homes; so we literally are providing for all ages in the community. As well as all of this, I tutor privately in my home office. This year I was a finalist in the the category ‘Women in Education’ at the Kent Women in Business Awards.

I’m a small independent business and would love to branch out further, offering this model across the UK (let’s start with more of Kent and London first!) Being in your business network could make all the difference! Plus it would be nice to meet like minded people in business! Thank you so much.
