An amazing turnout today at the Aspens Fun Fest, thank you to Stacie from Aspens Charities for organising our involvement and having us support.

Our medics were busy on the day showing the public methods of saving the life of a baby, how to safely and effectively apply pressure to a wound, apply plasters and bandages and of course, providing first aid to those who required it. Picture courtetesy of Aspens Charities page.

Aspens Charities is a charity that provides care and support to people with autism and learning disabilities, and their families, and offers neuro-affirming training for professionals.

✨ A brilliant day at the at Betteshanger Park / Kent Mining Museum.

We were proud to provide:
• Security & Stewards
• Medical Support
• Operational Advice
• Fire Response

Our team loved being part of such a fantastic event – from escorting the opening march to joining in the fun (yes, even CPR to the beat of “Pump It Up” 🎶 - check the comments to see a video of our Medical Team Leader performing CPR on a baby doll during the Aylesham Majorettes performance).

We also hosted our very first Junior Medic activity zone for children to learn basic first aid, different types of medical equipment and medical colouring in activities.

👏 Huge thanks to our amazing team and to Kent Mining Museum for having us. An absolute pleasure to support this incredible event celebrating the heritage of the collieries and the Kent Miners.

A brilliant day had by all.

We’re looking forward to the put together by Kent Mining Museum this Sunday, are you?

Make sure to come on down to see all the activities, take part and learn about everything the festival has to offer!

Our Medical Point will be operating our own activity station for children to learn about first aid and become Junior Minor Medics too with the following activities:
• Word Searches
• Medical Equipment Match
• Practicing using first aid equipment
• Colouring medical equipment
• Learning about everything first aid with our medics

Come to the festival for a day of fun learning! The event does have shuttle buses running from Aylesham, Dover & Deal check out the Kent Mining Museum page for timetables.
