decision to set up on her own. Along with all your
wedding and event floristry needs, BUD originated as a
floristry school and, regulations permitting, Emma is
ready and waiting to release workshop and course dates
for the new year.
“I’m in this business for the creativity, more than
anything,” says Emma, “I love working with
couples, hearing their ideas and finding a
way to achieve it for their big day.”

The floristry school was set up to offer people
the opportunity to dip their toes into floristry,
without the commitment or cost of a college course. Emma is also marketing classes towards businesses and
social groups for team building, fun and creative events and
gatherings. The school is based at Hopewell studios, a
beautifully rural creative space in Knaresborough

Looking for something to do with the kids in half term?

We’re running a children’s autumn flower workshop on Wednesday 28th October, 1 to 2:30pm. They’ll create their own autumn arrangement in a pumpkin vase, using a mix of fresh and dried flowers, to take home.

£35 per child, and parents and carers are welcome to stay and help or have a browse of the shop while they create.

What a night!

The Autumn Wreath Workshop last week was such good fun, and I loved seeing everyone's finished wreaths. Everyone made such different styles, but they all looked amazing!

After a very busy summer of weddings and events, we're heading off for a little holiday to rest and recharge so BUD is closed from today until the 23rd!

The website's open for pre-orders from the 24th, which is when I'll be back in the shop.

While you're waiting, our Autumn/Winter workshops are up online too. Whether you fancy making your own autumn flower crown, or getting stuck into a Christmas wreath, there's something for the grown ups and the smaller ones.

Had the best time at Emma's cyanotype and basrelief workshop today! My 5 year old loved it and we came home with actual artwork we can hang on the wall!

Just a reminder to those that are interested
tomorrow (Wednesday 5th August) is our first drop cyanotype and basrelief workshops from 1pm.

Make an A4 print and 15x15cm tile. All materials included and everyone is welcome. These afternoon drop in sessions are designed to be a bit of arty fun in the holidays with fellow creative people spending time in a beautiful part of our town.

Making both will take approx an hour and a half and is £20pp. You will be welcome to just do one or the other for £10pp (The tiles take 60mins to cure, you can always pop back)
