There is finally light at the end of the tunnel.
The good news is we have a plan.
The not so good news is that we have had to postpone more weddings today. This has been a devastating blow to these couples, some who are postponing for the second and third time.
That said, we will get there and I have a feeling that these weddings will be the best celebrations ever.
Onwards and upwards...

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been updating my portfolio with images from my 2019 weddings and this one by .land really struck me as I feel it captures the mood of the current situation perfectly. Although there have been (and still will be) some darker moments, there are also rays of light. I really believe we will emerge from this stronger than before with a new appreciation of things we have taken for granted. For all the couples who have had to postpone their weddings, you will have so much more to celebrate and I truly believe it will be worth the wait.

This afternoon I escaped to the country with Jenna from The Summerhouse and spent a lovely couple of hours looking around Abbots Court. This rural retreat offers an award winning restaurant, beautiful rooms decorated in Farrow & Ball paper and paint, stunning views and a very warm welcome. Put it all together and you have the perfect venue for a relaxed, foodie wedding in the countryside.

A lovely bunch of ‘get well’ flowers from .summerhouse. Feeling very grateful to have such supportive industry colleagues and friends. Still answering emails, just a little slower than usual. Full service will resume next week!

The difference a day makes! Yesterday’s blue skies at Somerley House - perfect weather for filming the house and grounds for my clients who live overseas and are unable to visit in person. Looking forward to their wedding here later this year. @ Somerley Weddings & Events

I've had a little break from weddings to grow our family but I'm getting everything ready behind the scenes for my comeback! In September RSVP Wedding will be 7 and I'll be unveiling our new branding and website as well as the new and more family friendly direction the business will be taking.

Over the past five years, marquee weddings in the grounds of private homes has become a speciality here at RSVP Wedding. I love the opportunities (and challenges!) each one brings but Saturday's is definitely one of my favourites. The marquee build was second to none, incorporating split levels, a cloakroom, a hidden dance area and a balcony. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to hold the ceremony outdoors and dine with the sides off the marquee. I can't wait to see the professional images as I only managed to snap a few once the evening celebrations were underway.

After a year's worth of planning it was great to see Saturday's wedding at Smedmore House come together in the sunshine. I am finalising play lists with the band for my next wedding and have just listened to the piece my bride and groom have chosen for their first dance choice. They have been taking dance lessons during their lunch hour and it's going to be beautiful.
