On Tuesday 13th May '25 I went to Gigrin Red Kite Sanctuary near Rhayder, Wales. I shared the Gateway hide with two other Photographers.

I was very lucky to photograph one of the two Leucistic Red Kites spotted at the sanctuary and surrounding area, infact there are only 10 Leucistic red kites in the world.

Yesterday I returned to Earlswood Lakes. To my surprise I noticed that one pair of Great Crested Grebes have begun to raise 4 Chicks. Here's a series of stills representing the time I spent watching them. Fingers crossed they all survive.

Here's a small folio of some birds in flight. I particularly like the photos of the Cormorant and Kestrel since they proved to be the most challenging. These are from a variety of spots around Anglesey, such as South Stack, RSPB Nature Reserve (Kestrel) and Puffin Island off the coast of Beaumaris (Cormorant).
