Every few months we host a friendly and uplifting event at The Grow Box Cafe, Redruth where we enjoy wholesome, locally made soup and bread and help choose who walks away from the evening with a large chunk of cash!

Soup night is just 2 sleeps away ..... and we are almost full ..... so if you would like to come out to play on Wednesday you’d better be quick !!!

You can secure your seat by either ....

1. Message us via our instagram page ... tell us how many seats you would like plus the name(s) of those who want to join in

or

2. email us at [email protected]

Please do not send us a message on Facebook as we will miss it

If neither of these ways work for you then you can always let Fran know at or one of the Sarah’s at

A blast from the past …..

Here in their native environment you can observe 4 of the not so endangered ‘Redruth Soup Dragons’ working hard at what they naturally do best ….. Setting up for their monthly ritual …..

… These soup dragons … commonly known as ‘Sarah’ (although other names have crept in as they have evolved).. can be found in their natural home … in Krowji, Redruth

There you will find them working hard to serve the mummy soup dragon, Fran’s famous yummy soup … but … not only is she famous for this delicacy (along with fine broom dancing … see earlier post) …..but also her world famous ‘puddings’ … November was apparently is a good month for Crème Brûlée and we were not disappointed

All money raised during the evening hosted by this intrepid troupe of dragons will go to the ‘winning pitch’ ... all 3 pitching reps will be asking for money to help them fund a worthy local project ...
.. soup ... conversation ... laughter ... pudding .. and dragons !!!! what is not to like !! xx

If you would like to observe these shenanigans for real you can book your place at the table there are several ways of doing this …

1. by messaging us on our Instagram page (please do not send a message via Facebook as we will miss it .. )

2. Emailing us at [email protected] (link in bio)

3. Letting mummy soup dragon Fran know - she can be found Monday to Friday in the …. Krowji

4. Letting one of the Sarah soup dragons know who can be found at at the bottom of Redruth high street

25th March at 6pm .... but be quick as tickets are going quick quick quick xx

We are really really sorry for any inconvenience but tomorrows has been postponed till January

Massive thanks to all those who reserved tickets … we will make sure that Fran makes extra yummy goodies for our next evening … just to make up for missing us this month !!

A gigantic thank you to all of you who came and supported this fabulous project throughout the year and congratulations to all those pitchers who bagged the cash … we just wish we could have given all our worthy local project pitchers the money ….

But if you tried before and weren’t successful there is nothing to stop you from coming back next year to try again … just book in with either the Sarah’s at or Fran up at Krowji

Have a fabulous Xmas and see you all on the other side to eat soup and share the local project love ###

Next Soup night is only 4 sleeps away … so be quick if you want to secure your ticket xx

Just in case you have never been to one of our soup nights and were wondering what it is all about .... you are in for a treat !!...

Book your ticket via our eventbrite link in our bio(it’s free to book but we ask you to bring a tenner to put in the pot for the winning pitch)

You then get to listen to up to 3 worthwhile local projects / charities / businesses tell you about how they would put the money to good use if they won it.

You then get to eat yummy food and cast your secret vote

Sadly you can only vote for 1 of the pitches ... no breaking your voting button into thirds ... we will find you 😂

The winner is announced ... and we all go home !! ... feel free to continue to the disco in town should you wish !

There is a licensed bar and the whole night is a bit lovely and very very much good fun !!

So ... before tickets are sold out .. just hop up to the top ... pop onto the eventbrite link and come and join us ....

Friday night in Redruth ... what else would you rather be doing ... bet it is not half as much fun !! 😂 ###
