MEET THE FACE BEHIND BOOS BAKES & BALLOONS
Hi, I’m Becky — the very proud owner of Boos Bakes & Balloons, where I specialise in all things PARTY!
From cakes and cupcakes to balloon displays and event decorations, I absolutely LOVE creating those special moments that people remember.
But there’s a little story behind the name…
My childhood nickname was “Becky Boo”, given to me by my dad And because I’ve always had a huge love for balloons, I decided that when the opportunity came to create my own business, Boos Bakes & Balloons was the perfect name.
I’m a wife and mum of two, and honestly, my children are the biggest inspiration behind everything I do.
For years, I dreamed of having my own balloon and card/gift shop, but I never really thought I’d actually be able to make that dream a reality.
Before Boos, I spent 15 years working in the African travel industry. Then COVID changed everything. What was an incredibly uncertain time ended up giving me the opportunity to take a leap of faith and finally start the business I had always dreamed about.
And I’m SO glad I did. 🎈
I genuinely love everything about what I do, but my favourite part has to be seeing a client’s face when they walk into a venue I’ve decorated or when I reveal their cake for the first time. Those reactions make all the hard work worth it.
I’ve even earned myself the nicknames “Becky cales” and “the balloon lady” — and honestly, I absolutely love it!
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me laughing, being slightly ridiculous and generally having a good time! I have a pretty crazy sense of humour, I’m enthusiastic about life and I’m usually happiest when I’m making people smile.
And one thing you might not expect…
🎮 I’m a gamer! Fortnite is my favourite, and playing with my son is one of my favourite ways to spend time together.
So that’s me — Becky Boo, mum, wife, cake lady, balloon lady, gamer, dreamer and the slightly crazy person behind Boos Bakes & Balloons!
Thank you to everyone who has supported my little dream and trusted me to be part of your celebrations. I honestly feel so lucky to do what I love.
