What could be better than a big collectors' fair at a massive venue around twenty miles away ? How about a big collectors' fair at a massive venue around five miles away ?
Having attended their initial two events held at the Hatfield Sports College which were very busy, we were disappointed when our friends at Haddon Events contacted us a few months ago to say that they had lost access to the venue. Not only was it great fair, it was quick and easy for us to get to.
So you can imagine our utter delight when we received a further email in August advising us that they'd found a new venue for the Big Hertfordshire Antique & Vintage Fair - right on our doorstep ! Apart from a couple of (pre-lergy) fairs at a school in Bushey, we've not attended one which will have been closer. A large vintage fair at a sports centre in Watford ? Yes please !
We'd been provisionally booked in, subject to any football getting in the way on the first weekend of November. With everything being belt and braced over the weekend, we've now been able to confirm our attendance at the event 100%, and are therefore pleased to announce the same.
We've been able to get to a number of events arranged by Haddon in the ten years we've been trading, perhaps most notably occasionally getting over to the Crook Log Fair at Bexleyheath (though ironically their next fair there sadly coincides with the West London Programme Fair on October 5th), so we know it will be a supremely organised and extremely well publicised event. Most of their events are out towards Essex/the other side or town, so it's great that they're organising a fair right on our doorstep. We'll be very much looking forward to making the short journey to Watford on Sunday 2nd November - hope you can join us.
