Advance notice

The Mill Arts & Events Centre will be temporarily closed from Monday 30 June to Monday 1 September 2025 to facilitate essential maintenance and improvement works that cannot be undertaken while the building is operational.

The planned works will include enabling works to allow the future installation of solar panels, replacement of internal doors, and new energy efficient measures within the building to aid the Council in meeting its 2030 net zero target. The works have been scheduled at the quieter time of the year for bookings to try and minimise disruption to hirers.

During this period, the team at the Mill Arts & Events Centre will continue to support existing bookings and hirers by assisting them in securing alternative venues, including Citizens Advice. Hirers who wish to receive this support, or those with queries on existing or future bookings are encouraged to contact the Centre directly via email at: [email protected], or by visiting https://orlo.uk/uplng

The Council thanks all members of the community for their understanding and cooperation during this period of enhancement and maintenance. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Mill Arts & Events Centre once these works are completed.
