There’s a reason I always encourage families to bring something personal to their newborn session.

Because it isn’t just about creating beautiful photographs of your baby. It’s about telling your story.

It might be a grandad’s old T-shirt, a hand-knitted blanket from Grandma, a favourite teddy, or something that has special meaning to your family. Those little touches make your session uniquely yours.

Of course, we capture every tiny little detail of your new baby, but we also celebrate the people who love them most. That’s why family photographs, sibling portraits and those quiet moments between parents and their baby are such an important part of every session.

One day, your children won’t just look back at these photographs because they were a cute newborn. They’ll treasure the pictures of themselves being held by Mum, cuddled by Dad, laughing with their brothers and sisters, or wrapped in something that reminds them of a loved one who may no longer be here.

Those photographs become part of your family’s history.

Long after we’re all gone, my hope is that these images are still being shared with future generations. That your children will one day show them to their own children and tell the stories behind them.

Every now and then, a little unicorn arrives in the studio… and this gorgeous girl was definitely one of them. 🦄💕

She came in fast asleep, stayed asleep through every single setup, let me gently pose her into every picture I’d planned, and then left exactly the same way… still fast asleep! Sessions like this are incredibly rare, and such a joy.

We chose a soft palette of pretty pinks for her, paired with gentle neutral tones for her beautiful family photographs. The result is a gallery full of timeless images that I know her mum and dad will treasure for years to come.

She really was an absolute dream from beginning to end. 💗

Bring me all the redheads! ❤️🍂

Honestly, there is just something about redheaded babies. If you know me, you’ll know I’m a complete autumn girl, so getting to photograph all those gorgeous auburn tones with the russets, olives and deep greens just makes me ridiculously happy. Those colours together are just my favourite.

This gorgeous family came into the studio recently, and I absolutely loved every minute of their session. You guys are just beautiful.

A huge thank you to Mum as well for the cheesecake that arrived last week! It definitely wasn’t kind to my diet, but it was absolutely worth it. It was amazing, so thank you.

I am ridiculously excited because tomorrow morning I get to meet this gorgeous mummy’s brand-new baby! 🤍
She came into the studio to help with our maternity model call, and I absolutely loved creating these images for her. She looked completely radiant, so I think we can all agree that this little baby is going to be incredibly cute!
