Russ is currently working towards his Fellowship with the Royal Photographic Society in maternity portraiture and we’re looking for a small number of maternity models to take part in some very special studio sessions.

If you’re 33+ weeks pregnant within the next three months, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for mums happy with a variety of styles including clothed, semi-n**e and implied n**e portraits — completely based on your comfort level.

So yesterday, our gorgeous Abigail came into the studio with her family and introduced me to the newest addition to their family… and also her mum, which made it even more special. And honestly, if ever there was a glamorous grandma, this is her. ❤️

They really are such a part of our Level 11 family now, and I absolutely adore them all.

Although… I did get a very stern telling off from Abigail about my lack of social media posting lately, so I promised her I’d share a photo today. 😂

Russ chose this image as a little sneaky peek, and I completely understand why.

I very rarely share behind-the-scenes photographs, but Russ captured this quiet moment yesterday between a brand-new grandma and her beautiful new grandson, Leroy… and I honestly think it’s one of the most beautiful photographs he’s ever taken.

It’s not perfectly posed.
It’s not styled.
It’s not technically “perfect”.

But somehow, it’s absolutely perfect.

Because you can feel everything in it.

And I think there are always two kinds of photographs. There are the perfectly crafted pieces of artwork… and then there are the photographs that make you feel something the second you look at them.

For me, this is one of those photographs. ❤️

You’ll be seeing lots more of Abigail and gorgeous little Leroy very soon because he is just unbelievably cute.

But for now… this beautiful little moment between a grandma and her brand-new grandson felt too special not to share. ✨
