🌿 Our Wednesday Street Feast journey continues… this October, we travel to Odisha.
We started Wednesday Street Feast in November 2024 with one simple idea: to introduce our guests to the extraordinary regional food of the Indian subcontinent that rarely finds its way onto everyday restaurant menus.
Since then, we have travelled 🛤 through cuisines including Mumbai, Kolkata, Assam, Rajasthan, Bihar, Lucknow, Kashmir, Kerala, Goa, Sindh, Kolhapur and Coorg, among many others.
What has made the journey particularly special is the community that has grown around it. Guests return to discover the next region, share memories of dishes from home, tell us their own food stories and sometimes introduce us to traditions we should explore next. ❤️
This October: Odisha • Orissa 🌊
For our October 2026 edition, we turn to a cuisine shaped by the coast, ancient temple kitchens, street food and generations of home cooking.
Odisha has a food identity quite unlike many of the better-known Indian cuisines. There is a wonderful simplicity to much of its cooking, but also tremendous depth — mustard, lentils, vegetables, seafood, slow cooking, leaf roasting and the balance of sweet, sour and spice all have their place.
Our new five-plate tasting menu explores that story from the everyday to the celebratory.
You'll encounter the sweet and tangy Tomato Khajuri Khatta, traditional Suji Bara, mustard-led Chingudi Besara, rustic Badi Chura, banana-leaf roasted Chicken Patra Poda, the comforting temple tradition of Dalma, slow-cooked Mutton Kasa, and finally Odisha's famous caramelised cheese dessert, Chhena Poda.

We don't want Wednesday Street Feast simply to be about eating five dishes. We want you to leave having discovered a little more about another part of the subcontinent and the people and traditions behind its food.
