What set of DJ decks did you first learn to DJ with? Mine were a pair of Gemini XL-500 IIs as I couldn’t afford Technics (sold to me by Paul Edmeade in Sound Control). They were direct drive but the torque wasn’t quite as good as the 1200s or 1210s.

Unusual story how I paid for them, my cousin who worked in a car scrap yard found a Stradivarius Flugel Horn and knowing I played trumpet kindly gave it to me which I then went on to sell to fund the decks.

Have you got an interesting story as to how it all began?

Absolutely buzzing to be playing across 2 venues this year at with my partner in crime . As well as the Beat Herder Church on Friday afternoon as the Funky Friars, we will also be taking over The Beat-Herder & District Workingmen’s Social Club on Saturday night as The Wedding DJs at 6pm.
