Whats happening in the flower field this month?

This month is ….
BRITISH FLOWERS WEEK
15th to 21st June

• I will be hosting an informal evening called The Flower Talk … an intro into British cut flowers, the difference between imported and grown locally, find out what flowers are available here in the UK.
Come along chat all things flowers whilst creating a jam jar posy to take home with seasonal flowers picked from the field.

• The Flower Club is back on Friday 19th June & Sunday 28th June - from 10.30am
Come & join our small community of flower lovers meeting each month. Includes a lovely bunch of flowers to take home ! £29

🌅 Summer Solstice Morning Calm
• Early morning in the flower field 8-10am
A morning of calm to bring in the longest day of the year. A small gathering to snip and pick flowers from the field. One of our quieter events to enjoy the calm amongst the flowers. £20pp

☀️ Summer Solstice Evening
• We are joining Amy from Buddha Duck Yoga to bring an evening filled with flowers crown’s, meditation, animal therapy and yoga in the studio.
If you’re looking for a full summers evening of calm, reflection, creativeness with a few added alpacas, then this is for you ! £30pp

A round up from May!
(A little late … )

May was a busy one with the late spring flowers blooming their heads off and a complete battle with the blast of heat we were having here in Lancashire.

May is a busy one in the field with the last frost date sealed off it’s time to plant out and fill the growing beds with annuals to take us through the season. A lot of hands in the soil time!

It was lovely to see some new faces at the May flower club and chat all things flowers, gardens and create a beautiful flower posy to take home. This months date will be on eventbrite today or DM to book.

This month’s British cut flower talk was over in Knott End at a local horticultural society. It was a great turn out and we spent the evening discussing imported flowers verses uk grown, flowers you can grow in your garden and small scale flower farming.

The Flower Stall in St Michaels has been open Friday to Sunday and thank you to those who have popped by to grab yourself some fresh flowers picked straight from the field.

I’ve had lots of enquiries from florists this month .. some that have used British flowers before and others that are ready to make a change over to locally grown blooms.
Thank you for your orders throughout May and I have loved seeing you all work your magic with my flowers.

🌻What was blooming in the field this month:
Sweet rocket, sweet william, foxgloves, nigella, alliums, honesty, calendula, blossoms, peonies, geums, campanula & foliages bringing spring pastel colours to the field.

Foxgloves have been an absolute highlight with some amazing stem lengths ! Definitely an extra bed of these next year.
