It’s time for a little bit of wedding trivia! 🥂 This famous saying actually dates back to the ancient tradition of handfasting. During the ceremony, the couple’s hands were literally tied together with ribbons or cords to symbolise their two lives becoming one. How romantic is that?! 💖

In many cultures, the couple’s hands were literally tied together with ribbons or cords to symbolize their union and commitment. 🤝💕

It’s such a beautiful tradition that many 2026 couples are bringing back into their modern ceremonies.
