Step back in time to the 16th century, where secrecy, deception, and survival intertwine in a high-stakes game of social deduction, interactive drama and historic quest. Welcome to The inTrUDORS — a gripping immersive experience set within the atmospheric chambers and vast grounds of Samlesbury Hall, a 14th-century manor with a dark, turbulent past.

In this multi-layered 3.5-hour adventure, players are placed into two factions of unknown number: the Challengers who seek to evade the inTrUDORS, and the inTrUDORS who are bent on sabotaging their every move. But there’s a devilish twist: No one knows who’s who. The inTrUDORS blend seamlessly among the Challengers, hidden in plain sight, manipulating and sabotaging efforts to gather crucial information. Meanwhile, the Challengers must rely on their wits and teamwork to solve puzzles, unearth secrets, and stay one step ahead in a race against time.

The game unfolds across three interactive role-playing Timeslips, each one transporting you to a different time during the 16th century. Explore the shadowed corridors and hidden chambers of Samlesbury Hall, encountering some of history’s most famous figures including Queen Elizabeth I, William Shakespeare, Matthew Hopkins, Guy Fawkes and King Henry VIII. Each character poses cryptic riddles and challenges that hold the keys to progressing through the game. Solve their puzzles and gain the vital information needed to outwit your opponents — but failure could mean the loss of your chance at victory.

At the climax of the game, after three heart-pounding Timeslips, both factions must confront the final End Game. Will the Challengers solve the ultimate enigma and become champions? Or will the inTrUDORS seize the moment and emerge victorious?

Our Food & Drink festival is NEXT weekend on the 6th & 7th June 🍕

Celebrate the best of Lancashire’s flavours on the first weekend of June – a vibrant day out for food lovers. Set against the beautiful backdrop of our historic hall, the festival brings together an irresistible mix of producers, street food vendors, and local drink specialists. From freshly baked treats and gourmet street eats to craft ales, fine wines, and indulgent puddings, there’s something to tempt all taste buds.

Enjoy live music, a family fairground and a lively atmosphere as you explore the stalls, sample delicious food, and discover new favourites. The 700 year old Hall will be open for visits – don’t miss the Witch’s Garret or the spooky ghost room! Plus, Hook-a-Duck in the courtyard fountain, or explore the amazing playground.

Not your usual open day 🎪

Our Summer Wedfest is back - Sunday 28th June, 12pm to 3pm.

Live music, cake tasting, axe throwing, alpacas, roaming magicians, a vintage photobooth, and the grand piano in the Great Hall all to yourselves. The Victorian Gatehouse, glamping village and Southworth Spa will all be open to explore too.
