We would like to bring to your attention the ongoing risks associated with Equine Influenza (Equine Flu), a highly contagious respiratory disease, and remind all horse owners the importance of remaining vigilant. This is to protect the health and welfare of their horses ,the wider equine community, and our horses housed on site.
We are kindly asking all those who are attending our venue to follow the guidance below.
Our Expectations
-Ensure ALL HORSES vaccinations are current and compliant. ALL passports will be checked
-Any horses that are NOT vaccinated are not permitted on site AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY
-Passports should be carried at all times and will be checked, none compliance will result in competitors being asked to leave site.
ANYONE WITHOUT A PASSPORT must not unload their horse or enter any facilities.
-ALL horse owners have a responsibility to ensure they help reduce the risk of spread amongst the wider equine community. DO NOT visit venues if your horse or any horses on your yard show ANY viral signs or symptoms, or are unwell in anyway.
-Horses should be returned to box park between classes and not be held or congregated in groups in or around the facilities.
-Horses are not permitted to hand graze in any areas of the venue.
-Competitors are advised to keep their distance from others.
-Please DO NOT allow any direct contact with any on site horses in fields/ stables, via visiting horses or handlers
-NO ACCESS is permitted at any time in our on site stables.
-Report any suspected cases of illness immediately.
-Follow any additional biosecurity protocols we may implement if risk levels increase.
-Maintaining high standards of vigilance and biosecurity is essential to protecting ALL HORSES within the equine community.
