Book Club Vibes at Our Local Bookshop!

Well, we had to make a very last-minute change to our outdoor book club meeting as the weather wasn’t playing ball! ☔

Luckily, our blinking fabulous new bookshop, , came to the rescue and said they could accommodate us.

Although there were only 12 of us this month (lots of members are off enjoying holidays!), we had the best evening. We had a wander around the beautiful shop before settling down for our book club meeting. Vicky had set up a lovely table for us and kept the tea and coffee flowing, while I brought along picnic boxes for everyone — including Vicky, of course. After all, she was staying open late especially for us! ❤️

We had a great discussion about The Inheritance Games. Personally, I absolutely loved it and read it in one day! Not everyone felt quite the same, though, with scores ranging from 2.5/5 to 5/5. I think a lot of that came down to the ending, as it’s very much a story that continues through the next books in the series.

Needless to say, I bought the next three books while I was there and can’t wait to get stuck into them!

A huge thank you to Vicky for your hospitality and for saving the day. You were an absolute star. ✨

What a fabulous day creating these gorgeous macramé bags! 🧵✨

From learning the knots to watching each design come to life, everyone created something completely unique. The concentration, laughter, cups of tea, and beautiful finished bags made for the perfect workshop day.

At the end of the day, just before we set off on our journey home, I managed to catch Katie for a quick photo. ❤️

When you’ve known a family for so many years, being asked to be part of such a special occasion is a real privilege.

Our children were born in the same year and went all through primary school together, so when I was asked to cater for Katie and Daniel’s wedding, there was only ever going to be one answer… yes.

What a lovely day, a beautiful bride and such a lovely couple.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Dunne. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together. 🥂❤️
