🏴‍☠️ Artist Spotlight: Gentleman Dread 🔊
Coming out of Portsmouth, Gentleman Dread is a Drum and Bass DJ, producer and event organiser known for powerful sets, deep bass and a real connection with the crowd. His approach is simple. Play great music, keep the energy high and make sure the dancefloor keeps moving.
His journey with Drum and Bass has taken him far beyond the south coast of England. After spending several years living in Whistler in Canada, he became part of the local bass music scene and started playing clubs, mountain venues and underground events across British Columbia.
During that time he also played at festivals and large events including Electric Love Music Festival, along with Synesthesia, MRMR Festival, Solaris and Altitude Festival. These events brought together artists and ravers from around the world and gave him the chance to perform on bigger stages.
Over the years he has also appeared on line ups alongside well known names in Drum and Bass including Matrix & Futurebound, Phibes, Circadian, the respected collective Born on Road and the legendary group Bad Company UK.
His sound moves across the full Drum and Bass spectrum, from deep rolling rhythms to heavier dancefloor moments, always focused on building energy and keeping the crowd locked in.
Back in the UK he is also the founder of Pirate Rave Productions, a south coast events brand focused on bringing proper Drum and Bass nights to the local scene while supporting both rising and established artists.
