After 20+ years behind the decks, I quietly stepped away from DJing last year.
Weddings. Parties. Dance floors full of people at their happiest moments.
It was never just about the music — it was about reading the room, timing the moment, and bringing people together.
Looking back now, I realise those years taught me more than I thought: how to connect
how to tell a story
how to hold a moment
That’s something I’ve carried into the next chapter.
Over the past year, I’ve been writing a memoir — Time and Becoming — reflecting on a life that’s taken a few unexpected turns along the way.
From the Royal Marines band…
to live music…
to DJing…
to teaching…
and now writing.
Strange how it all connects when you look back.
