💔✨ The End of an Era… ✨💔
I've written and rewritten this post so many times because it's one I never thought I'd have to write.
After almost 15 wonderful years, the time has come for me to take semi-retirement, and in October, Belle Mariée Bridal will be closing its doors.
It's hard to put into words just how much this journey has meant to me.
What started as a dream became so much more than a business. It became a place where hundreds of brides laughed, cried, celebrated, and found the dress they had always imagined. It became a place filled with memories, friendships, and so much love.
To every bride who trusted us to be part of one of the most important moments of your life...thank you. It has been the greatest privilege to help you find the gown that made you feel beautiful, confident, and truly yourself. Watching your faces light up when you found "the one" is a feeling I'll treasure forever.
We've been incredibly fortunate to meet the most amazing people over the years. Many customers became lifelong friends, and for that I will always be grateful.
I'm so proud of the reputation Belle Mariée Bridal has built. Every bride who walked through our doors received our time, care, honesty, and undivided attention. That personal service has always been at the heart of everything we do, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together.
There are so many people to thank.
To my wonderful customers—thank you for choosing us, recommending us, and trusting us with such a special part of your wedding journey.
To my family and friends—thank you for your endless encouragement and support.
To all of our fabulous designers and suppliers—thank you for believing in Belle Mariée Bridal.
A special thank you to My Wonderful Welsh Wedding - Home of the Wedding Guild of Wales for your friendship and support throughout the years.
A huge Thank you has to go to our "Mdels"... our girls have supported us from day one. Modelling at Wedding Fayres all over S.Wales. showing our gowns off on "real women" we have always been commended on showing gown how they should be shown.... Thank you girls ###
And finally, the biggest thank you of all goes to Melissa Tucker
From the very first day, you've stood beside me. You've believed in my dream, shared my vision, celebrated the highs, carried me through the lows, and been so much more than a colleague, obviously my partner x. I simply couldn't have done this without you. From the bottom of my heart...thank you.
Before I close this chapter, I'd like to leave you with one heartfelt message.

Behind every small business is someone who has poured their heart, soul, time, and savings into making it succeed. When you choose to shop locally, you're helping real people, real families, and keeping our high streets alive.
For brides especially, visiting a bridal boutique is about so much more than buying a dress. It's about making memories with the people you love, receiving expert guidance, and enjoying an experience you'll never forget.
It can be incredibly disheartening when a boutique spends hours helping a bride find her perfect gown, only for that knowledge and service to be used to purchase the dress elsewhere online. Independent boutiques have rent, wages, and many overheads to pay. Without support, these beautiful experiences risk disappearing forever.
So...what's next?
Before we say goodbye, we'll be holding a huge Off-the-Peg Sale, with incredible discounts on beautiful designer gowns. It's the perfect opportunity for brides to find their dream dress at an amazing price.
And although Belle Mariée Bridal is closing, this isn't the end for me.
I'll be opening my home alterations studio, where I'll continue doing what I love—offering expert bridal alterations, as well as alterations for all types of clothing. I'm looking forward to continuing to help brides look and feel their absolute best on their special day.
As one chapter closes, another begins.
Thank you for every appointment, every hug, every happy tear, every recommendation, every card, every bottle of fizz, every kind word, and every bride who allowed me to be a small part of such an important day.
Belle Mariée Bridal may be closing its doors, but the memories we've made together will stay with me forever.
